A welterweight matchup between rising prospect Rory MacDonald and veteran Brian Ebersole is set for UFC 140 on December 10 in Toronto, the UFC announced Tuesday.
Fellow welterweights Rich Attonito vs. Claude Patrick and lightweight prospects John Cholish vs. Mitch Clarke were also confirmed for the UFC 140 fight card.
MacDonald (12-1) scored a first-round TKO of Mike Pyle at UFC 133 for his second-straight win after topping Nate Diaz in April, while Ebersole (48-14-1) has earned back-to-back UFC wins over fellow veterans Chris Lytle in February and Dennis Hallman in August.
The three bouts are the only matchups booked so far for UFC 140, which does not yet have a main event.
The news comes on the heels of the UFC announcing Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem for UFC 141 on Dec. 30 and Ben Henderson vs. Clay Guida for UFC on Fox 1 on Nov. 12.
