Clay Guida vs. Ben Henderson Agreed for UFC on Fox 1 on Nov. 12

Clay Guida TUF 13 FinaleLightweight contenders Clay Guida and Ben Henderson have agreed to square off at UFC on Fox 1 in the likely co-headliner of the November 12 event in Anaheim, California.

The UFC announced the matchup on Tuesday after along with bantamweight Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto, who was recently scratched from UFC 135, against newcomer Darren Uyonyama and a featherweight matchup between Ricardo Lamas and Cub Swanson.

Only the UFC on Fox main event between heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos will air live at 9pm ET, while Guida-Henderson will be shown elsewhere and is a leading candidate to be televised if time permits.

Guida (29-8) earned a unanimous decision over Anthony Pettis in June for his fourth-straight win, while the former WEC champ Henderson (14-2) upset fellow contender Jim Miller in August to improve to 2-0 in the UFC.

The winner of Guida-Henderson will likely challenge the winner of October’s UFC 136 rematch between lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.
