Bellator Prelims to Stream on Starting with Bellator 49 on Sept. 10

Bjorn RebneyPreliminary bouts from Saturday’s Bellator 49 event and the rest of Bellator’s upcoming fifth season will stream live on before Bellator’s main cards air on sister networks MTV2 and EPIX, fueling rumors that Bellator could move to Spike once the UFC leaves for Fox in January.

“We are thrilled to join forces with,” Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney said in a release. “The Spike brand is synonymous with mixed martial arts worldwide and is another member of the MTV family, who does an incredible job in resonating with the hard-to-reach 18-to-34-year-old male audience.”

Saturday’s Bellator 49 fight card features:


  • Chris Lozano vs. Brent Weedman (welterweight tourney opening round)
  • Ben Saunders vs.┬áChris Cisneros (welterweight tourney opening round)
  • Luis Santos vs.┬áDan Hornbuckle (welterweight tourney opening round)
