I’ll do my best to respond but I’m also packing my **** for Montreal so bare with me:

1)The point of my post was to highlight that Serra’s comment, which he said in a radio interview – not to St. Pierre, could inflame scores of Quebequois who are ultra-sensitive and aggressive in defending French sovriegnty in Canada. A point that many Canadians would understand and appreciate the implications but it would have little relevannce to Americans unless it had been highlighted.

2) People who have been oppressed, discriminated aginst, had their civil rights violated and been beaten and imprisoned for simply being who they are have earned the right to joke about their situation amongst themselves. Those who inflicted the damage must accept that they misused a more advantageous position to bring about harm and not do it again , even jokingly, if they are sincere in repairing the damage.

3)I really didn’t think that you did not understand how racial,bigotted,oppressive and prejudicial ideas are brought forth… which is why I said it’s been covered from end-to-end and I’d rather talk to about MMA – I wasn’t avoiding it, I just thought you already knew.

4)Your past statement was brought back because on one hand you minimize the power and impact of words and suggest people are reading too much into playful trash talk but on the other hand you lambast another Blogger with statements of bigotry – and blatant bigotry is known to reasonably provoke bad reactions.
