UFC Vet Riggs To Headline “Street Justice” on April 29th
From TKOXtreme:
UFC veteran Joe “Diesel†Riggs has been signed to headline the Phoenix Fight: “Street Justice†on April 26 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His opponent will be Mike “Gates of Hell†Gates (5-3-1) and the fight will be at a catch weight of 180lbs. These two were originally scheduled to fight at a King of the Cage card back in December but weather kept Riggs from making it to the event.
Riggs (26-9), a former UFC and WEC title contender, will attempt to return to MMA action later this month after re-aggravating a lingering back injury in his upset loss to Cory Devela at “Strikeforce at the Dome” in February. Prior to the February loss, Riggs had posted back-to-back wins over Dan Chambers and Eugene Jackson after leaving the UFC in late-2006.
