Florian, Lauzon, Irvin and Diaz Awarded Fight Night 13 Bonuses

Kenny Florian, Joe Lauzon, James Irvin, and Nate Diaz all took home an additional $20,000 post-event bonus for their efforts at UFC Fight Night 13 exactly one week ago.
Florian and Lauzon, who clashed in the main event bout at the event, were awarded the “Fight of the Night” bonus. Florian won the lightweight fight via second-round TKO.
Irvin was unsurprisingly awarded the “Knockout of the Night” for his record-tying 8-second knockout of Houston Alexander.
“The Ultimate Fighter 5″ winner Diaz took home “Submission of the Night” for his triangle choke win against Kurt Pellegrino.

diaz would have looked like an idiot had pellegrino escaped that. But when he didn’t, it just made it look like the greatest triangle choke ever. Flexing. Ha. Classic.
yeah i didn’t like diaz at first when he won the TUF finale but i gotta admit the kid is carzy good. he’ll be champ one day.
I think The Maynard-Edgar fight should have won fight of the night but whatever. It was still a great show!
all four guys deserved those bonuses… we had a great record knockout… crazy submission…and a great fight to end the night
ya, i really like nate diaz. he’s just like his bro minus the crazy hot headed attitude. not that he doesn’t have attitude, but he’s pretty respectable if you don’t piss him off.
i agree, i like nate diaz a lot better than his brother and i think he’ll become WAY bigger than his brother in this sport. HE’S ONLY 22!
