TUF 7 Finale: Evan Tanner vs. Kendall Grove
Evan Tanner will reportedly return to action against Kendall Grove in a middleweight bout at The Ultimate Fighter 7 finale. The match up, though unconfirmed by the UFC, appears on the main page of Kendall Grove’s personal website.
After competing for a variety of promotions since 2003, Kendall Grove would join the cast of The Ultimate Fighter 3 in 2006, and go on to win in the season finale against Ed Herman. Grove has since gone 2-2 in the UFC with victories over Chris Price and Alan Belcher, but has more recently suffered back to back losses against Patrick Cote and Jorge Rivera.
Evan Tanner is a UFC veteran and former middleweight champion, who lost his briefly held title to Rich Franklin at UFC 53 in 2005. Tanner recently returned to the octagon after a two year hiatus, losing via knock out to Yushin Okami at UFC 82. Evan Tanner has had a history of personal problems and alcohol abuse, but claims to have overcome those obstacles so that he can refocus on his fighting career.
