Cole Miller Predicts UFC Fight Night 13
Tonight promises to be one of the most exciting UFC Fight Night cards ever assembled. The Broomfield Event Center just outside Denver, Colorado will be full of energy throughout the entire event with an impressive lineup from top to bottom.
I recently had the chance to discuss the event UFC fighter Cole Miller who shared his opinions on this evening’s event.
Miller trains at Florida’s famous American Top Team. He was also a part of the UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter. He is a solid and entertaining fighter that is almost certain to make his run to the title in his career. Cole fights at 155 and will be stepping into the cage at UFC 86 in Las Vegas on July 5th.
For “Fight of the Night” Cole chose Kurt Pellegrino versus Nate Diaz. “Probably going to be the most exciting fight. I’m friends with both so I’m not picking a winner, but its fight of the night for sure.” Pellegrino is coming off of an exciting 2nd round TKO over Alberto Crane at UFC Fight Night 12 while Diaz is hoping to extend his current three-fight winning streak and undefeated performance in the UFC.
For the upset of the night Cole stuck with fellow TUF alum Joe Lauzon in the main event over Kenny Florian. “I think that if Joe doesn’t win in the first round Kenny will pull this one out, but I’m gonna go with Joe for upset factor.” Lauzon is on a six-fight win streak, including three-straight UFC victories. Florian is also on a three-fight win streak since losing to Sean Sherk in 2006.
Unsurprisingly, Miller predicted his American Top Team teammates fighting on tonight’s card would be victorious.
Teammate Thiago Alves will be facing Karo Parisyan on tonight’s televised card. “[I] gotta go with A.T.T. on this one, Thiago by nasty KO.” Alves is 6-2 in the UFC and 13-3 overall. Parisyan will be looking to bring some heat into the cage as he rides a three-fight win streak, all of which have come via decision.
The other American Top Team fighter that will be participating in tonight’s event is Din Thomas who will be facing Josh Neer. Cole stuck with his roots in saying “A.T.T. baby Din by submission. Din like most of the A.T.T. fighters, is well round and can end this fight anywhere.” Thomas will look to get back to his winning ways after losing his most recent fight against Kenny Florian in September 2007. Josh “The Dentist” Neer looks to step back into the cage for the first time since 2006, bringing with him wins over Joe Stevenson, Melvin Guillard, and Josh Burkman throughout his career.
- Matt Hamill vs. Tim Boetsch, – “Hammill by decision don’t really care for this fight”
- James Irvin vs. Houston Alexander – “Houston Alexander by chokeslam!”
- Gray Maynard vs. Frank Edgar – “I’m going wiith the TUF fighter Gray Maynard I’m sure he has to be the underdog but i think he’ll win by decision or TKO.”
- Ryan Roberts vs. Marcus Aurelio – “Aurelio by fast submission.”
- Jeff Cox vs. Manny Gamburyan – “Manny by knockout.”
- Samy Schiavo vs. Clay Guida – “Clay by TKO ….bloody mess!”
- Roman Mitichyan vs. George Sotiropoulos – “I hope Sotiropoulos by submission.”
- Anthony Johnson vs. Tommy Speer – “Don’t know or care”
Special thanks to Cole Miller for letting MMAFrenzy.com know his opinions on tonight’s fights.

He’s on meth if he thinks Maynard’s taking Edgar. And Alexander by “chokeslam”? Keep dreamin buddy.
I hope Tommy Speer reads that and then wipes the floor with Cole in his next fight….who is Cole Miller btw??? Exactly…NO ONE….so since he was on the show, the guy thinks he is tough?? Cant wait for him to fight someone good!!
Doesn’t care about Tommy’s fight. Tommy made it to the finals of TUF. You better care. These aren’t even legit picks. He picked all of his teammates from ATT. Okay with Din over Neer. But I dont know about Thiago over Karo, what was that “nasty KO” yeah we’ll see. Plus Im not going to hate on his upset of Joe beating Kenflo. Because he did say upset, but Kenflos takin him out. And Frankie is tough, I don’t know about Gray being able to beat him. Grays tough to but, Im not convinced yet, if he beats Frankie he’ll have me though. He did get one outlandish one right. Houston could chokeslam The Sandman. Hes done it before. Against Silva or Sakara I think. But like it says these are his opinions and since he ain’t getting paid for honest thoughts hell I’d pick all my buddies to. Adios Slowpokes, Peace Love and Rock N Roll.
I think Tim Boetsch will Matt Hamill. Just a gut feeling.
Frank Edgar will probably beat Maynard.
Hopefully, Din Thomas is fully healthy for this fight. I thought he was going to kick Florian arse before he blew his knee out.
LOL @ James Irvin vs Houston Alexander. No BJJ specialist in this fight. Should be entertaining.
