Bryan Baker To Face Sonnen At WEC 33

Since Paulo Filho will no longer be defending his middleweight title at WEC 33, challenger Chael Sonnen will now face 22-year-old Bryan Baker at the March 26 event in a non-title bout.
Baker (6-0) is a product of the Team Wildman Vale Tudo camp and is currently undefeated in his short MMA career. Baker has won both of his fights since coming to the WEC, scoring a first round TKO over Jesse Forbes at WEC 30 and nabbing a split decision win over Eric Schambari at WEC 31 in December.

I think Filho should be stripped of the title. He is admitting to drug addiction. Sonnen was kicking his ass when they fought last time, until the BS stoppage without a tap. Sonnen deserves a fresh shot at the title. It will be a shame if he looses this fight and his shot.
I would not fight unless it was a title match. if he loses he is screwed. if he wins he has to fight 2 times for the title. not smart
I can’t stand Bryan Baker. He thinks he is unstoppable. Yeah unstoppable when you face a bunch of wimps. Now face a real challenger – Chael “iron balls” Sonnen.. Try to go for the groin – just try …
Wec is just trying to make Sonnen work for his chance again – just like UFC with GSP – Serra had a “back problem” hehe. And wow what timing Filho decides to check into rehab right when Sonnen gets to rematch him. Even if it wasn’t fake – why does he decide to do drugs before the match? What Chael must do is win this fight. And show he is for real. I thought he was very impressive in his first match with the champ. And that he deserves a rematch. But first, slay the beast.
