This light heavyweight bout came together shortly after the UFC announced the injury to Shogun Rua. Evans was thought to have signed on a deal to fight Thiago Silva but the UFC has the power to change fights for their better at the drop of a hat and that was that. A source close to Evans says the agreement has been made but the deal has not yet been signed by both fighters. Either the Liddell fight will get pushed to MN in August where it would open up a deeper list of guys that would be ready to face him...last I checked, it will take longer than 6 months to re-hab from a serious injury like Rua's so dont look for this fight to happen for a while. Throw Kurt Angle to Chuck and lets see another "entertainment star" go down hard...Liddell and Griffin would be a fight I'd pay to see...I honestly cant see Chuck (although he's my favorite) beating rampage...Go Forrest!! every top dog is signed to fight in the upcoming months and will not have time to fight.
