damn shame the pound for pound best fighter makes less than brock lesnar. even after fight of the night and sub of the night it was still almost equal to lesnar.. LOL
I completely agree! I was surprised at how little Kos and Sanchez made.
I just noticed that henderson’s base salary is also higher than Silva’s.. Wow! can we say renegotiation?
Silva should be the highest paid fighter at a record setting price. Just my opinion. 30 years from now when we’re talking Anderson Silva we may very well be talking about the greatest ever. If the UFC still had old school rules(tournament/no weight classes) Silva would be the multi time champ. I would like to see St. Pierre move up and challenge Silva. I think Silva would win but just want to see it. I would also like to see Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris in the cage but I am sh!t out of luck on that one. Chuck would get knocked the f out anyway.
Am I missing something from the Herring/Kongo fight? I didn’t think either of them were very impressive yet Herring’s been getting loads of praise. Standing up he just put his head down and swung wildly. OK, I give him credit for the knees to Kongo’s body on the ground but when Kongo had the dominant position Herring just held onto his arm and kept looking round, hoping to get stood up.
Don’t want to sound like a Herring-hater, as I wasn’t impressed with Kongo either. Even listening to Joe Rogan I thought I’d watched another fight.
i want 2 c anderson silva vs chuck liddell
Is it me or are these guys getting ripped off I mean oscar dela hoya made 55 million last year mayweather 45 million anderson silva is just as good at this sport as they are at theres so whats the deal…
It’s too bad that these fighters train a lot, get hurt and then paid so low. I wish that they would be given enough benefits/salaries like boxers do. Dana White, please open your eyes!!!
wow, Arlovski made $30,000.00 more in base salary than Silva, In fact he was the highest paid fighter for the whole event! Silva needs a new manager!! Herring made identical money to Silva as well for a non title match that he barely won…
Silva needs to Hire Arlovski’s or Herring’s manager, Arlovski’s $170,000.00+ for a prelim. bout that was not even broadcast… incredible…
That was Arlovski’s last fight of his contract, and it was offered to him while he was still the Heavyweight champ. He has sinced pissed off Dana and was placed un the under card to better the UFC’s position for a future contract.
You need to understand that these contracts were signed before the fights possibly well before the fights. Silva i doubt was the champ when he signed his contract. I am sure when he resisgns he will get paid Dana loves him.
And I thought Don King was Greedy
Anderson Silva is the worst thing for the UFC. He is so good, and Dana wants to see him defeated to create parody. All of dana’s boys are gone or losers: Matt Hughes, Lesnar Tito, Dan Henderson, Cro Cop, Couture, Liddell and rich franklin. The boring guys are the best and it is killing White.
