What’s up with SI? “Snorrrrre” are you kidding me? I was so happy I sh!t my pants while jumping up and down and yelling “Kimbo sucks” at the top of my lungs.

  2. gibor says:

why are people so hung up on hating Kimbo?

he is an example of an American dream.

he trained hard, he jumped at a chance to prove himself.

anyone is allowed to be hit on the button and felled down.
i dont see kimbo giving up yet.
he certainly has some skills, power and charisma. KIMBO, DONT LET THE BOZOS TALK U DOWN, KEEP ON TRUCKING, KEEP ON TRAINING, DONT EVER GIVE UP, DO UR BEST !!!

    go kimbo!!!!

  3. gibor says:

KIMBO VS LESNAR, win win for everyone

  4. Craig says:

Its because kimbo legitimately sucks, dude. They spoon fed him. He could be a man like Brock and said that he wanted to fight the best, but he didn’t. I loved seeing him get ko’d and any event he is on in the future, I will definitely not watch. He is the bill Goldberg of mma: a no talent bum.

  5. joshsmith says:

oh man i cant wait for the return of ANTONIO SILVA i wish they would give him a rematch with eric pele someday hopefully :)

  6. surfingk5 says:

The more I think about Randy and Chuck fighting again the more I think it’s time to move on. Have them fight some other old guy.

WOW Affliction doesn’t want Fabricio Werdupid either??? Sounds like he started thinking on his own. Happens every time…They win a couple fights get a big head and man tits. Now he’s homeless. It’s too bad.

Mike Van Arsdale, I didn’t realize he was that old…Wait a second…Here we go with the start of the Seniors Belt MMA!!! Starring Chuck, Randy, Arsdale, Severn…mmm…I’M AN EVIL GENIOUS!!!!!

And now my chance at KIMBO BASHING here!!!
BIMBO SLICE thanx SI: “2008 Turkey of the Year!!! It does not get any better than to be recognized by Sports Illistrated. I’d just like to thanx all my homies out there willin to take a fall for me. I gives you mad props yo. I’d also likes to thanx EXC for taking the opportunity to damage mma and fix my fights fo me…oh wait I still lost a fight that was fixed…WTF???”

Kimbo, have fun in K1 and good luck knocking out Mark Hunt. Try not to commit any felonies while in Japan.

Thales, just because he’s brazilian doesn’t mean you have to get all butt hurt about fighting him. The fact of the matter is it will be a great fight.

    Michael Bisping, my boy.

Does Rampage look a little crazier than normal??? Like maybe he found out he’s crazy as S**t. Or maybe he was faking before and now he just decided “f**k it, I’m goin crazy!”. Either way I’m glad I don’t have to fight Rampage or Wandi.

Now last but not least Fedor and his mini skirt. Most of you know I’m not a Fedor fan. But, now that I’ve seen him in a skirt…I’M IN!!! You do have to give him credit for his skills. His instruction roles out of him. He knows it inside and out. Really amazing stuff. Still don’t like him though.

  7. DaJo says:

Kimbo vs. Lesnar ? are you on drugs?
Kimbo needs to learn how to fight in MMA before
he goes after any more opponents. The guy is a basic boxer,
but has zero grappling skill, no stamina, and apparently
    not much of a chin…
I don’t think MMA is right for him, perhaps K-1 will
fit him better, it requires much less skill and has a lot
    of side show freaks.

Then again, if Kimbo really wants to prove himself,
he should take Dana White’s offer of competing on
a TUF Heavyweights Series and showing if he does
indeed have what it takes to compete on the pro level.
That would silence all critics and get his name out there
    in a positive way.

If he joins K-1, I think he’ll just become another Bob Sapp…

  8. surfingk5 says:

    gibor said:
why are people so hung up on hating Kimbo?

gibor, let me answer this as delicately as possible. Aside from the fact that Kimbo is a menace to society (just forget that for a minute).
He is a cheater and he has damaged the integrity of mma.

  9. russiandoeboi says:

ha ha good way to put it.
    surf. i agree.
    but,
to be fair the elite xc guys damaged the integrity and kimbo is just a very average dude who was marketable.
it’d take a miracle for him to be an elite fighter however i think he should still fight and improve and fight guys on his level.

i like watching the tuf series fights (not the reality stuff where they pee on things-that’s boring ass k*apola - because you can really see the difference of 100 levels between a top 20 fighter and those guys and it’s cool to see them learn and strugggle.

fedor and spider make it look so easy.

i just wnna respect the man cause he trained and fought and hope he’ll continue.

you are right that he (or the propping up elite did hurts the integrity though.

    i wonder about dana/brock.

brock is way more an athlete but
    1) he didnt earn a fight against nog(and randy has frikgin cataracts)
    2) ufc HW division is being cleared of not flashy guys like sylvia, werdum, and others who i think would whoop brock.

plus the standing up of opponents is also hurting the integrity of MMA IMO

  10. Fr702 says:

Kevin Ferguson is what he is… Hopefully he will take training seriously or something, the guy has power and such but his MMA game is essentially not well rounded…. K~1 could work for him you know the whole not being on his back thing and all..

Leites v Maia yes please good on paper que no?

Werdum I guess is headed back to Japan owell

Soko I’m over it, he is young and shall be back to the UFC

  11. russiandoeboi says:

werdum should fight the big boys in affliction.

i actually think he matches well against fedor - somebody will rant - but i think he has the 2 nog fights to watch and has a well rounded game and reach and size and jitz

  12. T3chn3tnium says:

congrats to fr702 and his gunnars, even though i don’t like them! :)

  13. Fr702 says:

    Damn u don’t like me now T3

  14. dbiz says:

Fedor teaching striking? Ask Bas about his striking. Poor technique is why he keeps breaking his hand.

  15. Fr702 says:

DBiz, Is it that or is there an Open Weight GP coming up somewhere?

  16. surfingk5 says:

fr, sad day in football…I’ve been in mourning all day.

  17. justin says:

    dbiz,
I was thinking about the hand injury thing watching him teach those guys striking. I don’t think I would like to learn how to throw a punch from a guy that keeps having mysterious hand injuries, regardless of how good a fighter he is.

    surfing,
Didn’t seem to me that Rampage looked crazy, just seemed excited about his new camp. I also think that Rampage is not exactly an intelligent individual, and is obviously not well educated. I think sometimes his poor ability to communicate makes him come off as crazy…though he is a bit crazy.

    russiandoeboi,
re: “werdum(sic) should fight the big boys in affliction.”

Too bad they don’t want him because he wants to much money…probably a part of the reason he got cut from the UFC.

Also, I don’t think Dana is trying to necessarily trying to baby Brock or anything like that the way that ProElite did Kimbo. He had him fight the former UFC Champion his first fight in the organization, and a good veteran who has fought tons of big names for his second, and whether you think he deserved the shot or not he got the champion for his third fight. The guy was champ for a reason, and one should expect him to be able to hold his own in the cage, not be some can to go out there and get a loss like Colossus was for Kimbo.

  18. Fr702 says:

SurfingK5, well sorry that you’re upset about losing to the Gunners… But hey good football is good football (soccer for most) and its always good when the Gunners beat Chelsea

  19. surfingk5 says:

That hurts fr, that really hurts. I expected a little sympathy! Well, I suppose the Gunners had to salvage their season somehow….lol

  20. Fr702 says:

Damn, that was waaaayyy harsher than what I said ouch….

  21. russiandoeboi says:

surprised at werdum not getting into affliction.

    brock:
    yea fair enough .
    mir is no joke.
    herring isn’t either but
herring does seem a good match up for brock - but in hindsight that’s easy to say i know.
fedor seemed to be able to take herring down at will so for brock my guess is.
now that brock has shown that he has a long reach with that wholupping r. hand i suspect that mir or nog will be able to work around that in sparring and should be able to trump that.
he wasn’t so impressive on the mat, even in top position.
nog didn’t mind standing and trading with timmy in a boxing match he may not with brock although the reach will be more even and he should still be able to out box brock. brock’s pace wasn’t as relentless as i expected either.
if he connects he still wont probly KO nog, and if he takes it to the ground top or botom he’ll get subbed. i’m not sure what i would do to beat nog if i were brock??!!!!

  22. Fr702 says:

Sunday conversation with Oscar taking boxing, and how its not a main stream sport and how there is too many world champs and people just aren’t interested in knowing who the champ is, pretty interesting….

I wonder when someone like Anderson Silva or Fedor hell Forrest Griffin will be the sunday conversation on espn 6 days before their big fight

  23. T3chn3tnium says:

espn has been covering it a LITTLE and i mean very little. they did show the TKO highlight of the Lesnar/Couture fight, but not too much before hand

  24. Justin says:

    T3,
Espn actually had quite a bit of coverage before hand. Dana was on Jim Rome, Brock was on first and 10, I think Randy was on there at some point, I think Dana was on their at some point. Though it wasn’t a lot of coverage, and they didn’t have stuff about it on sportscenter, they still had considerable more than they have had in the past.

  25. bsbiz says:

    Re: Fedor teaching striking

Future videos in the series will be:

How to Take a Punch by Chuck Liddell

    Making Weight by Gina Carano

It’s Inner Beauty That Matters by Wanderlei Silva

    Using Jiu-Jitsu by Jorge Gurgel

Manscaping by Forrest Griffin and Steffan Bonnar

  26. Justin says:

    LOL @ bsbiz.

  27. johnboy says:

well said count haha i love this guy

  28. mikew says:

K1 is definitely wrong for Kimbo, those guys are the elite of kickboxing and are true athletes and generally are warriors who can take and dish out. Kimbo was like a fad that has passed by, at the first sign of adversity he knew he was in trouble and got the biggest payout he could. He has no where near the skills to compete as a fighter in a K1 tournament.

  29. surfingk5 says:

Boy that bsbiz is a lot funnier than that dbiz character! “Inner beauty” and “manscaping”…that’s classic.

  30. dbiz says:

*prepares to issue a fatwa against surfingk5*

I thought we had an understanding my friend. But now I see that you want to do things the hard way by declaring war on my sense of humor.

Have you ever watched a fat man jiggle as he cries himself to sleep? I hope the visual haunts you, dear brother. I hope you choke on the bile and the guilt for what you have caused.

This is all on your head…
