Spike TV and the UFC today announced that welterweights Anthony Johnson (5-2) and Kevin Burns (7-2) will headline The Ultimate Fighter 8: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir Finale, rematching their July 19th meeting at UFC Fight Night 14 that saw Burns defeat Johnson via TKO due to an eye poke.
Middleweights Jason MacDonald (21-10) and Wilson Gouveia (11-5) will clash in the co-main event.
The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale takes place on Saturday, December 13th, at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and airs live on Spike TV beginning at 9pm ET.

I hope Burns learned how to not poke someone in the eye.
I hope Johnson beats his ass while wearing a mask and snorkel.
I like this rematch cuz “rumble” got played. I honestly think the fight could have gone either way if johnson wasn’t poked in the eye, but dude he fu&%^in had surgery because of it. I hope johnson is pissed and puts him to sleep like he did the “farm boy”
Jason has to take Wilson into the second or third round i think, wear him down and hope history repeats itself which shows Gouveia is a great one round fighter. Jasons game has improved and i was very impressed with his effort and heart versus Damion Meia. One guy he is training with is Roger Hollett, if you can take that guys power during sparring you should be able to handle Gouveia’s.
that was one nasty eye poke. it made my retina hurt.
Burns new fight name is
KEVIN “**** SLAP” BURNS
that sucks you think they could get better fights then that. the main event johnson vs burns that sucks ****. get nate or Karo or something is the ufc dumb.
I have to admit it’s kind of a let down when my swear words are censored…especially when it’s funny. Kevin BI**H slap Burns
a good reason to self censor.
Seriously, Mcdonald vs. Gouveia would have been a stronger main event. I don’t understand how Burns vs Johnson II is the main event here. Compared to previous main events (Tanner vs. Grove, Huerta vs. Guida, Penn vs. Pulver) Burns vs Johnson does not suffice.
Burns v Johnson is a hell of a backstory does it not, the story of redemption que no, who can’t get behind that… Could the UFC put bigger stars out there for us perhaps but with all the great fights coming up and all fighters needing to earn their money why not put a story of redemption outthere?
I just read on the Bloody Elbow that the UFC has just cut Jon Fitch. He would not sign his likeness and name away to them for the new video game.
That is SIMPLY FUUUCCKIINNGG CRAZY WOW retarded imo, what the hell man well here comes Sheilds forsure…. Great fighter but damn this sucks
I have to believe that part of the reason for them wanting lifetime rights is for THQ, and UFC, not just UFC. And because if it wasn’t a lifetime license, they may have to later pull the game. Not a good situation, I hope that they can revisit the contract so that more fighters don’t leave because of this. I also hope this is just a rumor.
Un real none the less Justin, where is he to go? StrikeForce!! Affliction?? O ya there is some things going on in Japan aren’t there..?. How will Kos and Swick react, isn’t Fitch on the cover of Ultimate Comebacks that I’ve been seeing being displayed on SpikE? Interesting we shall see in due time yet to let go of one of the top 3 or 5 WW in the world slightly shocking to say the least
They want to be able to use him in video games in case he ever gets a belt…they can then use him as a past champion in future releases of the UFC game.
The NFL does the same thing, except the players are unionized so they don’t get cut.
Nothing about that on UFC.com yet.
Everyone is replaceable. They shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
I wonder if Antwain Britt is fighting at the TUF 8 finale. He is a beast in person and it looked like he won his fight pretty easily on the show. Ryan Jimmo is a good fighter, he just beat Rick Roufus this past weekend so that says alot on how good Britt might be. It would be to see him fighting in the UFC.
