UFC Cuts Middleweight Jason Lambert
By: Kris Karkoski (admin) | Nov 13, 2008
The UFC has cut middleweight Jason Lambert from its roster of fighters, according to Five Ounces of Pain.
Lambert won three-straight light heavyweight bouts over Rob MacDonald, Terry Martin, and Branden Lee Hinkle to open his UFC career but was forced to drop to the 185-pound middleweight division after losing three of his next four fights. In his middleweight debut at UFC 88 in September, Lambert was submitted in the second round by Jason MacDonald, marking his third-straight loss in the octagon.
The news comes less than one week after the reported release of heavyweight contender Fabricio Werdum.

Looks like they are cleaning out the garbage in anticipation of signing Elite XC fighters and taking on the WEC middleweights.
Maybe so, timcat.

DUDE IT”S ABOUT TIME!
Nothing but the best is the way it should be. 3 losses seems to be about the Max you can lose before being cut.
Its about time…….
Unless ofcourse if you’re one of the untouchables most likely a series of losses will get u booted, yet if you’re exciting in those defeats ie Houston Alexander the UFC will keep u around a bit longet but you have to perform and win sometimes
Lambert is no real loss simply because even when he was winning no one really cared about him. Remember when he fought Rashad Evans? exactly my point. Nobody really cared all that much and it was against a TUF star and undefeated Rashad!
on another note does the middle weight division really need to be cutting people for A. Silva to KO? I mean if they get rid of all the losers in the MW division wont they only be left with the spider alone?? Good thing he’s retiring.
LAWLER is a comin’!
Making room for the WEC guys is my guess…and by making room, I mean they need to clear out a lot so Paulo “Who needs weight classes?” Filho can ooze his way around the locker room.
Where did you get that information KOuch?
they should have given him another shot at MW, he just moved down.
