“Big” John McCarthy Returns To Referee Strikeforce “Destruction”
By: Kris Karkoski (admin) | Nov 6, 2008
“Big” John McCarthy will return to the cage on November 21st to referee Strikeforce: Destruction at the HP Pavillion in San Jose, California, according to Sherdog.
McCarthy retired from refereeing in December 2007 following The Ultimate Fighter 6 main event between Clay Guida and Roger Huerta to become an analyst with The Fight Network. He resigned from that position in October amid reports of financial and business difficulties and he’ll now return to the cage to referee again.
Known for his signature “Let’s get it on”, McCarthy has been approved to resume refereeing in California and Ohio with applications pending for additional locations.

Be good to see him back in the ring.
Best reff who ever did ufc. he knew when to stop a fight or when to let it keep going.
he does look kinda dorky
great to see him back at what he does best, i wonder if Nevada will give him his license back so he can possibly go back and take back his throne in the UFC as top ref
