HEY KRIS HEADS UP YOU PUT “PILLS UP” I THINK YOU MEANT “FILLS UP”

I DIDN’T KNOW THOSE WEIGH IN ARE FREE. ARE THEY USAULLY?

  2. Thanks for the heads up, it’s fixed now.

Yeah, the weigh-ins are always free and open to the public as far as I know. They generally draw a few thousand people and are a great time, as fighters who aren’t competing that weekend tend to float around and shake hands and sign autographs for the fans.

  3. Mikew says:

Weigh-ins are usually free but i think there are some requirements.

  4. yzfoxracing says:

    NO PROB KRIS

IVE YET BEEN TO A FIGHT. THATS NEAT THERE FREE.

  5. buddy says:

Before the weigh ins theres a q and a with Matt Hughes for fight club fans. What are some good questions for Matt. KOuch do you have any suggestions.

  6. yzfoxracing says:

IM FEELING AN UPSET IN THIS I DONO WHY IM JUST NERVOUS FOR ANDERSON. LAST TIME I FELT LIKE THIS WAS THE JARDINE/LIDDEL FIGHT AND I WAS RIGHT…

    COTE
    ALVES
    CLEMENTI
    WERDUM
    GRIFFIN

  7. D-BOI says:

HELL YES! MY WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED…RICH VS. MAYNARD ON THE MAIN CARD! CANT WAIT TO SEE IT THIS SATURDAY!

  8. yzfoxracing says:

MATT HUGHES WROTE ON HIS WEBSITE THAT THE HUGHES/SERRA FIGHT IS GONNA BE IN APRIL SOMETIME… NICE I CAN’T WAIT

  9. shane says:

i was at the fights in montreal and the weigh ins were free but the fan club holders got to go in first i dont know if it was because of the amount of people in the line up or what….. Now on to the fights i am a big anderson fan but….. i would love to see one of my canadians catch him with a right bomb to ko silva to become the new champ..

and for buddy you should ask hughs where he sees himself in the next 5 years with xc folding lol

  10. D-BOI says:

    Predictions:
    A. SILVA
    J. KOSCHECK
    G. MAYNARD
    F. WERDUM
    S. SHERK

  11. johnboy says:

D-BOI u called it same as me. great minds think alike lol.

yeah im also glad maynard is on the main card, i think that will be fight of the night.

@YZ i hope ur right about the silva fight, it would shake things up alot and would make me smile, but i think silva will knock him out under 2min. i hope im wrong tho i hope cote can prove silva can be beat

  12. UFC Fight Club members do get priority seating for the weigh-ins. One of the perks on membership, along with first access to tickets. Basically the fight club gets in two hours before the doors open to the public, has a Q&A with a UFC fighter or personality, then stays in their seats while the public gets access to whatever else is available.

  13. Levente says:

That’s a decent card. I’m really looking forward for all the main card fights except for the Marnard/Clementi bout. I would better see the Leites fight, but according to the opponent of Leites is Drew McFedris, not Goran Reljic, who had to withdraw because of an injury.

  14. shane says:

hey kris when are we going to see anderson vs a 205 contender? i would love to see him vs say keith jardine??

  15. shane says:

also i would like to see slice in action and his first app. be kongo it would be a great fight both like to stand up and bang

  16. shane says:

with these other companies folding what are we going to see happen to like the pittbull, tim sylvia ( even though i dont like him) and the bigger names

  17. Willy D says:

Cote has a chance to possibly make it to the third round:

    Silva
    Alves
    Maynard
    Werdum
    Griffin

  18. Fr702 says:

I’m picking Silva here forsure, but YZ I kinda have the “Serra effect” going as well…. Cote shouldn’t win we all know that, but???? Can he drop a bomb on the Spider?? I would say I’m more “nervous” with this Cote fight more so then when he fought Hendo, simply u could see Hendo beating Silva… Cote doesn’t really belong in the same cage as the Spider it would be like putting Bisbing in against Silva, Anderson should win by showing up… (That’s for u JohnBoy all in jest)
Soo with the “Serra effect” looming large I’m aprehensive yet ofcourse picking Silva by triangle 2nd round

  19. shane says:

    serra and anderson?

  20. Fr702 says:

When Matt Serra was such a dog and ko’d GSP to win the title you know the biggest upset ever

Similar to Anderson Silva v Patrick Cote with Cote being such a dog is it possible that he shocks the world in a similar fashion ie the “Serra effect” cheers…

  21. Justin says:

Yeah, definitely the “Serra effect” is a concern. And Cote is a dangerous striker like Henderson (who has also shown KO power), but Cote is a more polished striker than Henderson. Henderson is better than Cote because of the other skills he brings to the table. Really looking forward to this fight, the closer it gets, the more nervous I get about what the result will be.

  22. yzfoxracing says:

FR702 I KNEW WHAT YOU MEANT LOL THATS A GOOD WAY TO PUT IT…

  23. Fr702 says:

YZ, first nice double post rare as they may be… i knew most got it, yet Shane (i believe) was asking for clairification…. i thought it was a decent way of stating what i think most of us are concerned about in this fight

Justin, i think that Anderson will stand with Cote for a bit til he can take Cote down and utilize his BJJ blackbelt (Big Nog gave it to him so ya) and i believe that he will end this fight on the ground, thats just my opionion

  24. Justin says:

    FR,
I think it would be fun to see Anderson take the fight to the ground and win it there. I also agree that he will probably do this if he doesn’t KO Cote early…I know Cote is known for having a good chin, but so I Chris Leben…

  25. Rumors are that if Silva wins this weekend he’ll be fighting against at UFC 92 in December, so we could see him return to 205 for that fight, then go back to middleweight in early-2009 for another title defense.

  26. Leites is indeed fighting McFedries, not Reljic. Thanks to those who sent it in.

  27. Fr702 says:

@Kris, if Silva does win this weekend, why wouldnt he put his title on the line again at 185 against Okami (this fight needs to happen, in Dec), therefore you will have 3 titles (ya one is interm) on one card ya that would be great also with Wanderlei v Rampage get outta here…..

  28. Mikew says:

I am truly stoked for this event, so many good fights and i’m thinking Koschek will be better than Diego as a replacement, he’s got such a solid base to work from and with increased skills his athletisicm will help him win this fight. Being Canadian i’d love to see Cote win but honestly if he makes it a good fight i’ll be happy with that.Like Justin said the closer it gets the more nervous i get, enjoy!

  29. Mikew says:

Also Sherk/Griffin will be a blast to watch, i hope Tyson wins but Shawn will try to dominate on the ground and there will be a lot of exciting scrambles.

  30. johnboy says:

FR702 i like u more each day man u seem to have a good sence ov humor and like to try wind people up i like that dude u make me laugh, havein said that every1 no’s bisping will beat silva when they do meet,

im not to bothered about seeing okami fight silva tho, maybe give okami bisping or nate first or even leban to see how he does, im just not a fan of okami imo franklin handled him pritty easy so him and silva intrest’s me as much as cote an silva, theres only guna be one outcome! and if silva is guna fight in dec i can see dana putting chuck in there with him, imo chuck has nothing to lose if that match was made, he wins hes back on the top of the pile, he loses yeah we kinda knew that was guna happen thanks for the memories chuck ur a legend. but im looking foraward to this sat it should be a good night of fights.
