  1. Matt says:

well happy bisping won good fight but stil wana see leben knockin out people in the furture
Bisping furture middle weight CHAMP !!!!

  2. del says:

bisping is great, we might see himas champ one day if anerson silva retires, that would even out the division quite a bit

  3. Us And Chuck says:

Good performance from Bisping nothing special he stuck to his game plan and won a comfortable decision i’m still not convinced though he needs to fight a Marquart or a Leites to see how good he is

  4. kie says:

that was my first live event i hope they come back 2 birmingham. Bisping will become the champion soon i think he has the tools to beat silva also i liked dan hardy.. brilliant

  5. E-ROC says:

Ah, it was an ok performance from Bisping.

  6. surfingk5 says:

Pretty good for being “over rated”. He won.

  7. surfingk5 says:

You know what??? Bisping played Lebens stand up game and picked him apart. He had a game plan and stuck to it. Awesome. Impressed with Lebens sportsmanship…

  8. bla bla says:

I really don’t know how someone can win a fight by backing up for 15 min? oh wait it must be a fight in the UK with bisbing the winner, man he sucks…. just my opinion but he should have lost to Matt hamel (in the uk) now I think that he shoud have lost to Leban (in the UK) wow is it just me or is there a pattern starting here? if he gets a title shot hey maybe it will be in the UK………maybe they are worried that if he losses again he will just keep droping wait classes(like bj penn)haha

  9. Darkchild says:

there’s nothing wrong with keeping your distance and picking your shots, that called tactics. At the end of the day Bisping beat a decent fighter at his own game. Maybe people will stop calling him overrated now.

  10. 1ton says:

Leben was KILLING him, it’s a bit unrealistic that he didn’t win. He was pounding on bisping the entire time while bisping was backing up. Don’t get me wrong, the point system for that kind of win might be different than I see it as, but in my eyes theres no way bisping won that fight.

  11. hoppy says:

Why have these small minded american fools got a major hard on over Bisping, he should have lost to Leben??? ,that is the worst comment of the year, he was never in danger at all against Leben , when he beat Mc’arthy and Day everyone sayin he needs to fight a Leben or a Quarry to see how good he is ,now he has cruised past Leben he still get’s slated , i think these clowns are a joke!!, just my opinion!!!

  12. ryanmoney says:

    Hoppy

I agree. No way did Leben win that fight. Everyone who knows about fighting knows that Bisping won that easily.

The ones that say that Leben won or should have won are the same people that are still waiting for the day that someone runs into the Octagon with a Steel Chair and helps someone get a victory. They must be WWE fans because they don’t seem to live in the real world like the rest of us.

  13. James says:

I thought it was an exciting fight, because it was a close fight, or to be more exact, leben looked dangerous all the way through.

What people have to understand is that fighters have off days just like the rest of us. You can’t just dial up amazing fighting flare.

I thought Chris Leben was really in the zone, fighting outside himself, whereas Michael was not having such a good fight compared to his past performances. But the crucial thing is his skills and training were all there.

There is no question in my mind that Michael won the fight fairly and clearly. You don’t win fights by marching forward and having your face used as a target pad..

This fight is perfect for a rematch. I think Michael did a great job, and while we all want to see the haymakers flying. I think Michael demonstrated some really good skills that people could learn from.

Chris Leben is the classic pub brawler, Michael’s lateral movement and straight rights were absolute poetry in motion.

  14. Us And Chuck says:

I agree Hoppy some people really do get aroused at the mention of the name Bisping and have to get negative on him to not explode in their pants ;)

Even Leben knew he was beaten he raised Bisping’s hand before the decision was announced !.

  15. Brandon says:

I’m not biased against Bisping or a huge Chris Leben fan but from what I saw I think it was closer than people are saying. Bisping never had Chris hurt. He jabbed him around his eyes. Those areas bruise easy and makes him look more hurt than he really is. Leben bombed him quite a few times and had him hurt and backing up and even scored a takedown. It is a sport but it is also entertainment. Chris Leben made this fight exciting not Bisping. Fans who claim Bisping is ready for a title shot are full of it. Leben is in the upper/middle echelon of the 185′ers and Bispin couldn’t do anything but land a few jabs. I’m sorry to piss on everyone’s parade but Bisping is overrated.

  16. ryanmoney says:

Land a few Jabs? Thats how you win a smart fight Brandon.

Everyone knows that A good jab will beat speed or a hook any day of the week! Didnt you know that? How much do you know about fighting?

  17. Brandon says:

I know more than you think tough guy. These guys are fighting to entertain fans not self defense. The refs do a good job of stopping fights before anyone gets injured. Bisping can jab his way to a title shot with Silva but he better come up with some more skills by then. Don’t get me wrong Bisping is a good fighter just not a great one. Any time he fights someone any good he doesn’t do any damage ex. (Hamill, Evans, Leben).

  18. Brandon says:

One more thing. I know the jab is a good weapon. It should be used to set up a good K.O. punch/kick or a takedown. Great fighters like Anderson Silva throw a good hard jab and when they are stunned go in for the kill. I’m done complaining. Thanks for listening.

  19. James says:

Those are criticising Bisping, just turn it around why didn’t Chris Leben knock Michael out?

Judges or not, Chris didn’t put Michael way or submit him.

I’ve watched all Michael’s fights and it was the worst one I’ve seen. Bring on the rematch. Also how stupid the only have three rounds, the fight was screaming out for at least five.

  20. Brandon says:

I’m criticizing Bisping because he was never trying to finish the fight. I don’t fault him for people over hyping him. That’s not his fault. He over hypes himself. I used to like him before the Hamill fight. Not his fault the judges scored in his favor but it is his fault for acting like an ass after the bad decision and saying how how good he is when Hamill clearly beat him. BIsping lost a lot of fans that night and more last night with his consvervative strategy. I also would like a rematch. I think it would be cool to see Bisping and Leben as the coaches On TUF UK vs. USA leading up to a rematch.

  21. Mikew says:

I will not stop calling a guy overrated until he can commit to engaging every opponent in a battle, not a chess game, i am glad i did not pay for this dance as it was lacking in the excitement that seperates MMA from boxing.

  22. Justin says:

    James,
Good point about people not criticizing Leben for not getting the KO. About the five rounds, that’s for championship bouts, this was not one, that’s the way it has been for years in MMA, maybe that will change one day, but lets face it, would we have really wanted to see 10 more minutes of Kalib Starnes running from Nate Quarry?(did he even throw a punch in that fight, I don’t remember)

  23. B says:

They just need to give him a title shot so he can get A$$ raped by Silva

  24. LiveStrong says:

I think its fairly easy to see who won considering Chris Leben dropped his hand at both the end of round 2 and 3 asking for Bisping to actually hit him, which neither occasions did Bisping take advantage of. Leban was showing that he was the better more dominant fighter. Leban won, Bisping just kept moving away not ready for what Leban was bringing.

  25. LiveStrong says:

Oh and HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH…Bisping vs Silva. I dont think Bisping got close to beating or even stunning chris leban, and for anyone who knows MMA Chris got down right killed against Silva. I dont think even Bisping wants that fight.

  26. Jan says:

Im a Michael Bisping Fan, Im from england and I must say… Bisbing didnt win that fight.

  27. Killing me says:

So Michael said in his interview that he expected to win via decision. Are YOU KIDDING ME?? Who actually wants to win via decision?? I know who. Michael Bisping fighting in his home country that’s who. But two decisions in your home country that were clearly losses or at least split decisions shouldn’t warrant anything but being banned from the UFC. I pray his next fight is somewhere it can’t be biased. And please show me a coach that tells his fighter to run like the french from a conflict.. Fleeing is NOT a tactic.. Please learn about scoring before posting your inaccuracies on here.. Thanks have a nice day.

  28. LameBisbing says:

Leban CLEARLY won the third round and still got a 27-30 decision from 2 judges. The other 2 rounds are down to whether you judge octagon control + aggression (leban) vs. effective striking (bisbing) and could have gone either way…The tools to beat silva? ARE YOU JOKING? His stand up is clearly inferiour in every way to silva’s and don’t even get me started on BJJ. You are an absolute fool if you think the fighter we just saw can get out of the second round against the champ.

Lame ass UFC and their UK business plan.

  29. Gary.uk says:

I think most of you guys are right, bisping isnt ready for anderson silva, after all silva is the best pound 4 pound fighter in the ufc, but i wouldnt be suprised if he got one by at least ufc 95.

bisping vs silva?? Bisping probly knows he wont be able to go toe to toe will silvas pin point perfect strikes but his game plan will be for the takedown, then climb on top and imobilise silva as i belive thats bispings best quality… Pounding away on top of his opponent… In the face of course.
