Goran Reljic Off UFC 90 Due To Injury
By: Kris Karkoski (admin) | Oct 12, 2008
Middleweight up-and-comer Goran Reljic (8-0) has withdrawn from his scheduled UFC 90 main card matchup against Thales Leites after suffering a back injury.
MMAFrenzy.com (http://mmafrenzy.com) today confirmed the injury with Reljic’s manager, Zoran Saric.
A native of Croatia, Reljic is undefeated in eight professional bouts, including an impressive second-round TKO of Wilson Gouveia in his UFC debut at UFC 84 in May.
A replacement has not yet been determined.
UFC 90 “Silva vs. Cote” takes place on October 25th at the Allstate Arena in Chiago, Illinois and includes Anderson Silva vs. Patrick Cote, Diego Sanchez vs. Thiago Alves, Fabricio Werdum vs. Junior dos Santos, and Sean Sherk vs. Tyson Griffin.

Wow. That sucks. If Marquardt is in decent shape right now (which he probably is) this would be a great chance for a rematch.
Just got word McFedries was fighting now.
Well its never good to hear about a fighters injury, but now with news of this hopefully they move the Rich Clementi/Gray Maynard fight to the main card, i think that could be fight of the night right there
McFedries is fighting Leites?
That stinks for Reljic, I did fine somewhere that said that McFedries may be stepping in, but it wasn’t that long ago that he lost, and that is not that interesting of a fight.
I am guessing he is Kris…I just found out he got the call to fight at UFC 90….so its my guess that he is.
This really does suck
Reljic was going to tare through Leites then capture the MW title by next autumn and tare through Patrick Cote after he crushes Silva (the last part is a joke)
McFedries will get subbed quick!
another injury getting to often this, i was looking forward to that fight. i agree with mburtoni get nate back in for a rematch, i bet he’d love to get back in there and beat his ass (again)
Thanks FixXeR!
