Fighters Weigh-In For Strikeforce “Payback”

Fighters tipped the scales yesterday in Colorado in preparation for Strikeforce “Payback”, which takes place tonight at the Broomfield Events Center in Broomfield, Colorado and airs live HDNet beginning at 10pm ET.
The lone main card fighter who failed to make weight was Michelle “Karate Hottie†Waterson’s opponent, Tyra Parker, who weighed in four pounds over the 112-pound contracted limit, but the fight will continue as scheduled with Parker giving a portion of her purse to Waterson.

Ive always liked Ludwig as one of the cleanest strikers in the business, Trigg is a little older now and should consider hangin’ em up

kris u really kno how to reach out to ur viewers ever think about a job in marketin for the ufc lol. does anyone think that main event is gonna last more then ludwig vs goulet did? i see ludwig tappin sammy morgans glove and that knocks morgan out. trigg should stick to tag teamin wit kurt angle. i was there when luke caudillo got overwhelmed by marcus aurillio so if wat if heard about this evangelista guy is true should b another boring one. so i guess other then the karate hottie this card is a pass.
Funny you should say that because she actually is a model as well. She probably won’t every fight Cyborg, Carano, or most of the other well-known female fighters because she fights at such a light weight.
true I didn’t even think about the weight issue…I wasn’t really bein serious when I said it…she seems like she’d be doing it more for the publicity than anything else…anybody watchin the elite xc card this weekend? arlovski and nelson are fightin…prob end up like arlovski and rothwell…kimbo and shamrock…not real sure what to make out of this…I wish shamrock would retire…hes embarrasing himself….especially if he loses to kimbo slice…
Tyra will take care of those pretty looks of Watterson. I saw her fight in NC and got a raw deal by the ref. She is am animal on the ground. She normally fights at 125.
You weren’t the first to bring up her fighting other, well-known females but she fights at such a light weight there isn’t a whole lot of competition.
I’m really looking forward to the EliteXC card. Not the Slice fight in particular, but Arlovski-Selson and Shields-Daley should be interesting along with Gina’s fight, though it’ll be interesting to see if she can make weight today first.
I think its bull**** when fighters don’t make weight…its unfair…They should be given up to like 3 hours before they fight to make weight…and if they don’t, then they don’t fight….they make weight classes for a reason…

actually you do have a choice as to whether or not to take the fight but if your opponent misses weight usually their purse is docked. Most people still fight because they are still eligible to win bonuses on top of a larger purse(or even to make it up if you were overweight) so it can become a better payday.

don’t forget kim couture gunslinger…shes a fox…and yea alves missed weight with hughes…I think that helped him alot, I mean the dude looked like a f*ckin middleweight going into it…I give him props tho hes a good fighter…can’t wait for him and sanchez
