Some of these kats don’t get paid jack. I think I’ll keep my day job.
i didn’t understand why lauzon wasn’t on the main card?? his last fight was a main event vs kenny yet his next fight he doesn’t even get on the main card of a fight night card, that can’t be good for the confidence.
cant belive how much alexander sucks, as soon as he goes down its game over my advice for him would be, go be a boxer cos as an mma fighter u suck big time, i dont like saying that either cos he seems like such a nice guy lets just call it tough love haha
Johnboy,
Alexander definitely needs a ground game. I like the guys polite personality and do not want to make this comparison but…..Houston was as helpless as Kimbo on the ground. One thing I will not take away from Houston or Kimbo is the FACT they have deadly heavy hands. Unfortunately they are “suppose” to be MMA fighters and just as Chuck Liddell said not too long ago, “the days of being an expert in one fighting style are past. Now you have to be a well rounded fighter who is good at everything.” I would take the former champs advice if I were Houston. Houston still has great strength that I feel he could manipulate some opponents if he new ANY wrestling or grappling technique(s).
I wanted to see Lauzon too. I think Houston was on the maincard because he was the hometown fighter. Belcher/Herman on the other hand…..I would not have minded one bit if that fight was a prelim and Joe’s fight moved up. Stuff like this is going to happen more and more as fighters build in popularity. Remember: You, me, those of us here on a daily basis are the so called, “hard core” fans. We are familiar with the fighters inside out. I was talking to my best friend the night before this fight night event and told him everyone fighting. You know what he asked me?!? Who is Joe Lauzon and Alan Belcher. Belcher I could let go but Lauzon was nationally televised for a season of TUF and fought how many times since?!? I was disgusted.
my sentiments exactly
i hope u slapped ur friend KOuch lol lauzon is a beast i saw that fight when u knocked pulver out and after that i remember thinking i wonder were that kid has gone? then i was happy wen i saw him on tuf, i was even more happy when he was in the main event (he lost but to a great fighter in kenny) then u can imagain how p!ssed off i was when he didn’t even make the main card, that was a mistake by dana not putting him on the main card, cos the kid is an animal and now when he fights again im sure it will be on the main card but people like ur friend will not no who he is cos his last fight was not shown, an people will think well hell whos this punk comeing outa no were to fight on the main card. bad move dana hang ur head in shame!!
It’s tough making living as a fighter, especially when you’re not a big draw.
I don’t like the fact that there were only 4 fights on the main card, granted most of them went the distance, I don’t like the fact that they plan 2 fights an hour when a fight only takes a max of 20 minutes. If they had less of Rogan running his mouth, and videos we’ve seen a hundred times between fights they could put more fights on the card.
Wow, I hope some of these guys kept their jobs at the car wash.
Good to see Guida getting some decent cash. I hope he gets his wish to fight again in 2008.
I thought Danzig as a winner of TUF would have a higher contract than 15K.
remember guys this sport is still growing…Youll see there salaries go up in the next two years…it just keeps gettin more and more popular…
johnboy isn’t a “hardcore” mma fan, he’s just a hardcore BISPING fan. BISPING SUCKS!!!!
yeah, i’m surprised too that lauzon wasn’t on the main card, but i can’t say i was disappointed with the herman/belcher fight. i thought that was a really good back-and-forth fight which herman got screwed by that decision.
KELVIN…
bisping does not suck!!
he’s actually a good fighter…
he just didn’t deserve the hammil victory…
these fighters seriously do not get paid good…
i mean to be paid 5,000-20,000 dollars a fight…and if you only fight once or twice a year…that is not enough @ all!!
i do not get why dana can’t pay them more…
i mean the ufc is pulling lots of money…
the salaries seiously need to be raised…
never said i was an hardcore fan kelvin by the way what is an hardcore fan?
Diaz is the man, hes humble and an excellent role model, plus the dudes jokes and hes gonna walk right through the 155 pound division. Major props
Diaz, humble and an excellent role model?! That’s why he gives double fingers when he locks in a triangle, speaks gibberish every time he talks, and throws water bottles at other fighters’ dads. Humble and a great role model is GSP, or several other fighters, but not Diaz.
I want to be hardcore like JohnBoy pllleeeeaaaasssseeee
And no Nate Diaz is not a role model, he isn’t as bad as Nick but damn a role model hell perhaps today is opposite day
ALRIGHT NOW YOU KIDS! Now STOP that fighting!… wow… did I just say that on a fighting message board?… The best way to settle these types of arguements is to just go by straight facts. You can’t dispute or argue with facts, right?… OK… Here’s the fact: bisping sucks. That’s a fact. He has no real punching power and I’m not impressed with his jits. He’s better than… me… or some other loser, but he’s no contender. If he gets the privilege of stepping into the octagon with Mr. Henderson, then he’ll get the privilege of getting his bisping knocked in the dirt by Mr. Henderson too. That would only be interesting if we wanted to see a foot race because bisping would have to run and keep running to not get knocked out. bisping should fight in some smaller shows and try to win a belt or two there. Then he could try the UFC.
First I wasn’t taking a shot @ JohnBoy he and I have disagreed but he seems like a good chap
DolfanG that will not cease the fighting yet I appreciate you attempt to settle the choas
hey man im just a fan ov the count yeah im bias as hell cos hes english and the only real fighter we got in the ufc so im guna support him all i can, as for these hardcore fans ie kelvin im sorry my view dont fit in well with u but in my defence U SUCK
im only playing that was the number1 reason kelvin gave to why he hates the count
DolfanG agreed bisping blows, plus diaz is the man he talks **** and backs it up few fighters can do that, and hes pretty humble he talks a lot but at least its confrontational, whereas most fighters say kimbo or hughes or those rejects trash talk through media. So yeah the dudes got class, if he thinks you blow at least it will be told to your face not behind your bacl
Good post marko. He’s a fighter period.War NDJJ!
