  1. Fr702 says:

Nice to hear Ishida got a win tonight, I’m also pulling for Thompson and Misaki

  2. Arnold Darkshner says:

hugh hefner rockin some new skanks tonight looks like

  3. etherface says:

anyone know what happened to babalu? Last I heard it was supposed to be him fighting against anthony ruiz.

  4. DolfanG says:

Ken Shamrock doesn’t have any confidence in his own fighter… Maybe he feels like his fighter hasn’t been trained well enough?

  5. @etherface - Babalu was forced out of the fight due to an injury. Our report is here.

  6. Confidence only goes so far and I think Shamrock understood Bowman was outmatched in this fight but still had hopes he’d pull off the upset.

  7. etherface says:

@Kris Karkoski-thanks dude, that is unfortunate, I was looking forward to that fight a lot. I guess that’s alright-it should have been Babalu vs. Prangley anyway.

  8. DolfanG says:

It looks like Shamrock knew what he was talking about… his guy didn’t have a chance.

  9. He’s supposed to be healed and back in the cage before the end of 2008 so you won’t have to wait long to see him back in action.

  10. VinceNBK says:

I really think Riggs was robbed. It wasn’t the most impressive performance by either one but if the ref did’nt stop it when Misaki got dropped he should’nt have stopped it when Riggs got dropped. He was defending intelligently. Did you see the late strikes that really seemed to piss off Riggs?

  11. Mack says:

What a great night. Riggs fight sucked. It should not have been stopped!

  12. Mad says:

    Whaaaaaat!?!?!

  13. kouch says:

Can’t believe it! I thought Riggs would win by sonic boom for sure!

Terry Martin has a pair of vicious fists and an impressive wrestling background…..I hope he makes his way back to the UFC. He has potential.

  14. garth says:

wow…misaki got handed a gift in that fight. i wonder if josh rosenthal watched marcus davis’ fight in england, where he got punched a thousand times in the face and came back to win.
diesel deserved a shot to win that fight. lame stoppage.

  15. Very poor stoppage in the Riggs-Misaki fight but a solid main card with some good action and a mix of finishes and decisions.

  16. Dr Doom says:

Ishida kicked ass …….. he is definately a top lightweight challenger . Would be interesting to see how he wold do against BJ or Nick Diaz ……..actually him and diaz for the elite xc belt would be a wicked fight .

  17. Dr Doom says:

just on a side thought here . that guy the UFC just signed ,Ivan Serati should fight shogun Rua for his first fight . Rua should be ready by dec and buddy needs a solid opponent .

  18. DolfanG says:

I’ve never been able to appreciate Josh Rosenthal as a ref. He seems slightly incompetant. He should probably stay in very small shows and stay away from the bigger shows.

  19. DolfanG says:

What’s next for Riggs? Where can he go now? I guess he’ll stay where he is for another fight or two, but if he doesn’t start winning soon, he needs to consider a different career choice… It seems that Strikeforce could use a good ref…

  20. Erizzle says:

@ KOuch: “Sonic boom.” Classic stuff…hahahahaa

  21. Mikew says:

Riggs is the most unlucky guy out there, i also found i dont mind Ken Shamrock as an announcer, as long as i dont have to watch him fight. That Devila guy looked good against Martin until the punch.

  22. bfree says:

    KOuch
Terry Martin had potential until he taunted Leben and got smoked haha. but hey he gives the fans what they wanna see, him knocking people out or himself getting knocked out

  23. VinceNBK says:

Wasn’t Crafton Wallace supposed to be part of this card?

  24. huertarogerhuerta says:

KOuch i told u dude akuma by dark hadau

  25. Dietrich says:

Riggs should become a personal trainer for the Biggest Loser. Maybe his story could help someone out…

  26. Justin says:

I just watched the Riggs fight…looked like an early stop to me.
