damn. ill admit when i was wrong, i didnt see Rashad doing that to Chuck. Respect to Rashad in a very impressive win.
YEA i said rashad all the way but a ko dammmmnn did not see it like that just wish he couldve done that to bisping in jersey aside from that tho i had an off night 5/9
good work Kris…
i picked rashad by second rnd ko im in the top 10 of ufc fantasy
ko of the year wouldnt you agree kris
THAT HAD TO BE ONE OF THE MOST VIOLENT KO’S EVER!!! RIGHT WITH YOU THERE GUNSLINGER
What a weird atmosphere after that KO. Nobody knew what to do. I don’t think anybody expected that kind of KO. No take down attempts and only a couple of punches landed before that horrific KO. That hurt Chuck and I think changed him as a fighter. We will never see that old Chuck…..Respect to Rashard…he has all the tools and deserves a title shot! Maybe he can fill in for Thiago Silva against Machida!
Im loving this the iceman gets Ko’d by a michigan man damn…. i guess bisping didnt do so bad after all huh HATERS..atleast he didn’t get knocked the fck out
k the iceman is done, now lets see fedor retire couture
The Iceman got HURT……….mentally and physically tonight…..HURT
I’m still in shock and upset. It was like seeing the end of an era in a split second. That was a scary knock out
He got Mirko’d
i called rashad by tko in a previous comment…
i swear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chuck is done I think. Its kind of sad. I don’t like Chuck, I am a Rampage fan but its tough to see an icon get destroyed like that. If he isn’t done, he will never be the same. It was kinda crazy that in the pre-fight smack talk Rashad said he was hosting Chucks retirement party tonight….well…thats as close to putting someone into retirement as I have ever seen in UFC.
Batman rocks Thiago - Lightweight Kurt Pellegrino (18-4) won a unanimous decision over Brazil’s Thiago Tavares (17-3) in a fight that saw Tavares take a terrible beating in the first round and yet somehow survive.
Pellegrino floored Tavares twice early on, hammered him from above and then carved his face open with elbows. Montreal referee Yves Lavigne elected not to stop the fight and the round ended with a bloody canvas and Pellegrino’s dyed blond hair was red in parts. The Brazilian looked like a human car crash.
Tavares appeared to tap out to an armbar in the second round but Lavigne let the fight continue.
“Yeah he tapped,” said Pellegrino, watching the replay.
evans beats chuck, lee beats shamrock, faber beats pulver, next up brock beats randy, the old guard is done, long live the new dogs!!!!!
Evans now owns two of my favorite KO’s ever….Head kick to Salmon, and now the Ice Man going ice cold.
The best part of the Evans KO is he took Chuck’s best punch EXACTLY and dropped it right on him. Wave that left hand out wide to distract and bring the Sandman in over the top with the right.
BING!
Great counter punch. Violent. It ranks up there with the Gonzaga head kick, in the fact that neither of the guys saw it coming. Truly classic!!!
man that sucks, all the other fights were awsome, and then……………..i cant watch ufc anymore
Anyone who is not watching because Chuck lost needs to get the sand out of their vagine and write Chuck a letter. Holding a grudge against the UFC is the wrong way to go about it. You will be the one missing and losing out.
Chuck got KO because his unorthodox stance left him dangerously vulnerable to Rashad’s “boxing” style. Chuck is the FACE of MMA to many average fans and people who do not follow the sport. I come from a family of boxers and boxing worshippers……All I’ve heard over the last 5 years is, “Look at Chuck’s stance and gaurd…WTF??? That’s careless….That’s garbage, dangerous, stupid and every other insult/criticism you can think of.” As a hardcore MMA fan it has bothered me but the truth is, they were right. Chuck’s style may have worked in the past but the pool of talent has gotten deeper and more skilled. Chuck cannot safely approach fighter’s with his hands out to the side anymore. Plenty of MMA fighters are skilled boxers…most of all well rounded fighters…. MMA is entering a new era as it grows out of its infancy and I’m sad to feel this way or say it but…..Chuck is on his way out. Losing to Jardine was one thing. Getting KNOCKED THE F OUT in the fashion he did is career changing. Chuck’s fight with Wandy was great but it’s the younger fighters working their way up I am looking at in regards to Liddell opponents. Youth and Rampage may be Chuck’s achilles heel.
greg jackson’s camp has chucks number getting worked by both rashad and the dean of mean
so who does chuck fight next you think…if he does not choose to retire…
he can not really fight the big names because they are all booked…he shoould get hammil…he really needs a confidence booster…
and franklin looked good…
i say he should fight rua next!!!!!!!!!!
Good post KOouch!
I hope Chuck doesn’t retire and can learn to adapt, but I’m afraid he might be going down the road of Matt Hughes.
Next should be Liddell vs. Rua and Evans vs. Wandy. Now I want see Wandy put a beating on Evans.
Liddell Franklin for Superbowl undercard…
Chuck tests Rich for 205. It would be a big swing bout for both.
WOuld love to see what Rua could do with Machida…
I still don’t understand why Diego left that camp.
Man I called this way back when the fight was announce the first time they were suppose to fight back in June. I knew Evans would win then before they originally postponed it due to Chuck’s leg being injured. I just had a feeling about it. That same feeling I had when I said Griffin would be Rampage (even though I wanted Rampage to win).
I’ll go ahead and make this early prediction as well. Brock Lesnar will stop Randy Couture on November 15th.
