Quinton Jackson Signs Three-Year Deal With Wolfslair

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has signed a three-year deal with Wolfslair fight team in England.
Fighters Only revealed the signing on Wednesday.
“I feel like Wolfslair can make me go farther than I have been; I’m really excited about being able to travel there to train. The guys on the team, they like to laugh and joke around but they train hard and that’s me, that’s what I like to do,” said Jackson to Fighters Only. “What better team to join than one called Wolfslair? I’m a werewolf. It was my destiny. People don’t understand destiny but I do. Wolfslair is the most perfect team for me.”
teaming up with the count and paul kelly, rampage has that english humor many americans dont understand so i can see why he would want to make this move plus who wouldn’t want to train with the best mma fighter on the planet michael “the count” bisping
Yeah I think the count was absoluetly responsible for Rampage heading over to England. From what I understand they are pretty good friends.
Does Terry Etim fight with Wolfslair too?
It seems like a strange move to be honest as i would have thought he could have gone to Greg Jacksons camp, AKA, ATT or any other top camp.
I hope it works out for him and obviously this has to be the biggest coup of the year by far MMA
Its a fantastic move for english mma to have a former light heavy world champ train in england with wolfslair and fight stateside,english mma keep making small steps in the ufc and bisping,kelly and now rampage are all doing there bit so maybe one day the brits can be taken seriuosly in the mma world, i still feel that bisping is gonna get his bell rung if he ever steps in the octagon with andrson silva though but he’s got a better chance than ian”the machine” freeman ever did of breaking into a title shot

Bisping is not the best fighter on the planet. Why did he move to middleweight? To avoid Matt Hammill thats why. Rampage must be out of his mind. Dellagrote would have been a better choice.

To Johnboy - He beat Hammill?!?!?! Yeah he did. He also did it in England, in a controversial fashion. No offense, but please don’t come onto these boards and portray Bisping as the clear winner in that fight.
I actually liked that guy. I really did. Then I saw the match. I saw him win. I saw/heard host post fight interview, and saw what a schmuck he was!
He’s good, but he didn’t win that match. Just like if it was held in the States, Hammill would’ve taken the decision. Ugh…………

He is right Johnboy as Brit i hate to say this but Hammill did beat Bisping Convincingly and was robbed.

Fact is that Bisping beat Hammill and lost to Evans. He’s very dangerous. I would bet everything I own that Bisping beats Leben by KO or TKO before the third round. That’s going to piss off a lot of the Bisping haters but I don’t care.
I hate Leben too. He is pretty annoying. I could care less about who wins, as long as they put on a great fight!
it was in the uk so thats why he won? let me just point out the two judges that scored the fight to bisping were american and the judge who gave it to hammill was english so what have u got to say about that?

Wolf’s Lair isn’t far from me so if Rampage is training there I might make an effort to go have a look (in a non-stalker way).
I think this is good for Rampage. A change of scenery and culture for a while should do him some good. It will be like being on vacation while working. I’m not sure why but I really feel for the guy after his breakdown. I just want him to go train, become an animal again and destroy his way back into title contention.

How does Rampage plan on training in England for three years with his pending charges? He should be signing a long term deal with the energy drink company that he used to f**k himself up in the first place. He and Bisping may very well be the dumbest fighters on the planet.

So am I the only one who has never heard of a fighter singing a contract to commit to train somewhere? Isn’t that ussually just pre-supposed that if a fighter does well then he will continue to train at a certain place? I never heard of fighters signing deals and/or getting paid to train at a spacific place….
Other than that I think it’s a bad move for ‘page. Even Michael Bisping said that he got more out of training in Big Bear with Rampages team than he got back in England with the Wolf’s Lair. And that because the talent of MMA in the states is higher than in England. But what ever floats his boat.
I’m no legal expert but I have heard of people’s passports being taken away if they plead guilty to felonies or are placed on probation. Both of which might be coming in Rampages future.
I don’t think that Rampage can leave the country with two felony charges against him, he has to ask the Judge at the very least…..
Bisbing is talented and won against Hammill even tho anyone who wactched the fight knows that was a bs decision and should have gone to Hammill, Bisning is the best fighter in the world Bo Cantrell is
O and BJ gassed v GSP, Rampage got out struck by Griffin (then went insane) and Starnes is a track star unlike Machida who is talented, just throwing some more old stuff to argue about

I like the move get away from all the drama.. They train hard over there and Rampage will be on top again. And all the haters need to stop trash talking Bisping the guy is one hell of a fighter he’s going to make a statment in the MM division
