Quinton Jackson Charged With Two Felonies, Four Misdemeanors
The Orange County District Attorney’s office on Tuesday charged former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson with two felonies and four misdemeanors following a July hit-and-run incident and car chase that resulted in Jackson’s arrest.
Jackson was charged with one felony count of evading while driving recklessly, one felony count of evading a peace officer and driving against traffic, three misdemeanor counts of hit and run with property damage, and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving.
If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison.
Jackson will be arraigned on Thursday, August 28th, in Santa Ana, California. Bail will be set at $25,000.
Following an initial collision with a vehicle, Jackson fled the scene but was quickly spotted by a police officer who noticed Jackson driving on a flat tire and talking on his cell phone. The officer attempted to stop Jackson but he instead led police on a brief chase, wrecking into another vehicle and nearly hitting several pedestrians before surrendering.
Jackson was not charged in the miscarriage of Holli Griggs, a passenger in one of the vehicles Jackson collided with who subsequently had a miscarriage 16 weeks into her pregnancy.
“We reviewed all the medical records and spoke with the victim’s physician, and the evidence showed that the loss of the fetus was not related to or a result of the crash caused by the defendant,†said Orange County spokeswoman Farrah Emami.
Jackson is expected to return to the octagon in December against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Well its not like Rampage is exactly broke himself, I do think that perhaps Dana will help provide the best attoneys but probably make Jackson dish out the$$$$$$$$$

I suspect Jackson will have access to UFC attorneys and a plea bargain will be quickly and quietly worked out.
1-2 years probation, a bunch of community service and a fine, since he apparently did not cause the miscarriage.

Definate probabtion, I think personally more like 3yrs. Informal probation I don’t know but I don’t think he will be stuck with the felony counts

A December fight would be a huge mistake. He needs to handle his legal issues and get his head in the right place before stepping in the octagon. If he only gets probation for 2 felonies and 4 misdemeanors, that’s bullsh!t. I enjoy watching Rampage fight, but the court system needs to stop slapping professional athletes on the wrist and hold them accountable. IMO

he hasn’t done anything for the sport that rampage has.
when you talk about legal punishments, there is no disrimination. however, if you’re talking about punishments from the job, there’s definitely different treatment and i think it’s justified.
Jessie Taylor was an alcholic that had real issues. Rampage was suffering from delusions due to lack of sleep and food. Rampage has been a model citizen with no prior record, so yes we should look past this. No one was seriously hurt and he will have to suffer some kind of penalty so ill call it even.
I hope he pleas out and gets probation, community service, pays4damages & big fines with no jail time! Probation will be long, probably 5 years based on the “number of violations”. Will have to mortgage out that Orange County IRVINE HOME and pay DANA WHITE big time for getting him out of this “LEGAL FIGHT”. Orange County is tough, even on it’s Sheriff (Feds got him). Greatest place to live, safe and good schools. I have traveled to 66 countries researching them for investments, property laws and immigration laws. The best country is USA & So. Good for Rampage. He is going to get off easy and as a fan that is what I wanted. Not that it makes it right…..With all of those charges he is going ot plea bargain and probably get the felonies dropped or lessened to misdemeanors. The misdemeanors will be dropped or he will plead no contest/guilty to those to get rid of the felonies. Many different legal angles on this one. From my experience I think the felonies will be dropped if he pleads guilty to 2-3 misedemeanors.

Everyone and ANYONE who gave me shat when I defended Rampage and said there was no proof he caused the miscarriage owes me an apology! I told everyone this lady was a POS person to be 38yrs old, bringing a life into this world unmarried and letting so much time pass before she went forth with charges. It was obvious she found out Rampage had celebrity status/money before she went about her scumbag ways of life and allegations.
Rampage deserves a rematch to get his title back ASAP IMO. Forrest should man up issue a title shot to quinton.

Rampage is awesome and all, but no way does he deserve a title shot. Hells no. Not after that **** he pulled. With Chuck and Machida both about to win their fights, I’d say they both deserve a title shot before Rampage even gets a sniff…

UFCfan, how bout if Machida wins and Rampage wins v Rua the fight each other for the “next #1 contender spot” after ofcourse Liddell beast Evans and fights Forrest for the belt imo (two ifs;if Liddell beats Evans and if he doesn’t get injured ie broken hand or reaggrivate his groin/hamstring) ofcourse u can throw Wanderlei in the mix if he wins his next bout..
