Clementi Likely To Fight Maynard at UFC 90

Lightweights Rich Clementi and Gray Maynard are likely to meet at UFC 90 on October 25th in Chicago, according to MMA Junkie.
Clementi (32-12-1), a long-rumored UFC 90 participant, has won six-straight bouts including four-straight UFC victories over Anthony Johnson, Melvin Guillard, Sam Stout, and Terry Etim.
Maynard (5-0), who advanced to the semifinals on The Ultimate Fighter 5, fought Rob Emerson to a no contest in his UFC debut but has since won three-straight bouts inside the octagon over Joe Veres, Dennis Siver, and Frank Edgar.

Ahhhhhh!!!!! I’m f-n torn. I like both of these guys. Clementi has been on a rampage his last few fights and Maynard is badass. Maynard is also Gunslinger’s hero which is why I have a hair more of a soft spot for him. This could be an exciting ground match but at the same time if they stand and bang that is even better. I’m excited as hell for this match and just feel bad someone has to lose.

I hope knock Maynard KOs em both again. That made me laugh in many ways the first time.
Clementi’s has been on a tear, but I want Maynard to win this one. This will probably be fight of the night though. I expect Gray to bully him around the cage and just wear him down.

Yeah, i agree with Dietrich, Maynard is so huge at 155. The way he manhandled Frankie Edgar was embarrassing. He’s got knockout power, great wrestling, and decent subs. A force in the LW division.
Maynard is like a JR sean sherk. Awesome cardio, awesome wrestling and power, but HELLA one dimensional. Clementi on the other hand is more experienced and way more well rounded. He’s been on a tear and has all the tools to submitt maynard from any position. Only way maynard will win is if he busts a lesnar and muscles his way to a decision.
Man I love MMA! Anytime a fighter shows promise and has a good record they match him up with another good fighter and let them go at it. No padding of records here like in boxing!
Gray Maynard is overrated. Clementi will submission him by round 2. If Maynard is so good guys, why didn’t he win The Ultimate Fighter?
the next fight for LW champion after KENFLO vs Bj Penn would be the winner of sherk vs tyson griffin i think unless sherk wins because he already fought him in ufc 84 so i think the winner of this fight would face maybe the loser of griffin and sherk and i think the fight will go to maynard.

gray maynard is overrated timcat your a jackass…and maynard didnt win because he got caught in a submission you idiot and he was dominating diaz the whole time before then and will destroy diaz,clementi and anyone else who comes in his way…………….if your such a douche why did you come here…maynard single handedly destroyed a top ten lw in frankie edgar….and we will all watch him dominate and eventually get his title shot and beat whoever has the title!
ok i think ur getting a little carryed away a title shot? unless he wins and beats maybe sherk or tyson hesnot getting a title shot which i dont think he will. not saying he wont because he hasnt beat any very good guy yet. oh! maybe he could face roger.

frankie edgar ring a bell he destroyed and huerta would get grounded n pounded for threee straight rounds plus i dont think huerta is staying with the ufc after his next fight
y wouldnt he stay in ufc. ufc is the one i watch the most and hes exciting huerta vs KENFLO was an awesoe fight to me.
Huerta is awesome. He didn’t fight a good fight against Florian, while Florian fought a great fight against Huerta. Just phucking sign a new deal already Rog…. Ha. Rog… what a crazy name, and by crazy I mean awesome.
