five guys before maynard! …..your crazy maynard dominated frankie edgar who at the time was the #10 lightweight in the world(sherdog and insidemma)…..maynard will show everyone why he is so good…i cant wait to laugh at everyone when maynard starts dominating top ranked ufc light weight….you’ll see you’ll all see….everyone talks about tyson deserving a shot well guess what tyson lost to edgar and guess what maynard beat edgar….i usually dont use mmath but in this case it was necessary….florian is good but i hope they have maynard fight sherk or florian or even huerta he would show everyone the real powerhouse he is!

LoL yeah against a rookie Sammy Schiavo. Guida would def. have to be at the lower end of Florians list. (P.S., I hope Guida rocks Mac Danzig) I think Stevenson would be the best fight for Florian right now.

Dude nobody has ever “dominated” Kenny Florian on the ground. Gray Maynard? He’s not even on Florians level yet. There are at least 5 guys closer in rank to Florian than Gray Maynard. I actually think Florian should fight Joe Stevenson, and the winner of that fights the winner of the Sherk fight.

Why is everyone sleeping on Florian? Florian would house Gray Maynard. And why should he fight Clay Guida? He’d be moving backwards, considering Huerta choked Guida out in his last fight. I think everyone sleeps on him because he looks like a huge nerd lol. He’s doing the right thing, waiting for the winner of the Sherk fight.

OK. I knew that was why they didn’t have a HW division but I didn’t know that they were thinking of cutting the other upper weights as well. I’m waiting for the day that they start putting Faber and Torres title fights on a UFC PPV. That will suck. I have a feeling it is going to happen though eventually.

I don’t think Ken-Flo can beat any of those guys. He’s a skilled fighter but those guys are just to strong for him. That’s his weakness in my opinion. Still a good fighter though. Let him fight against Edgar, Diaz, or Guida. Those would be entertaining fights. Keep him away from maynard though. I think he would be to overpowering for him as well.

Anderson will have to fight at 205 if the Wec loses the 185 and 205 divisions as he says he will not fight Filho. Well guess what if they throw some money at him he will fight. Either that or he drops down to 170 or balloons up to 206.Plus Machida will leave the UFC soon.Hes boring…

A. Silva has made it very clear that he does not want the LHW belt. He feels that it is Machida’s belt, and he has his own MW belt. He trains with Machida so he won’t fight him anyway.

Fight Chuck for the next title shot? First off he still has to beat Rashad Evans……second off, he lost to Jardine, who got HOUSED by Wanderlei….Wanderlei and Chuck are probably ranked exactly the same right now, even though Liddel squeezed a win out of Wanderlei. And NO WAY Silva loses to Machida. (I hope not lol) And let’s also not forget about Rampage’s crazy ass. Silva Jackson 3?

Interesting matchups but do we really want to see sherk dominate ken-flo so early again. Let Ken-flo get a little more seasoning or if Griffen wins let those 2 fight instead. Also I think the winner of Thiago/Dragonfly (as much as it pains me cuz I think Machida will win)should get the next title shot or fight chuck for the next title shot. I think wanderlie as much as I like him should have to win 1 or 2 more before he gets a serious consideration to even fight for #1 contender spot.

I like Herring, but think he may be slightly overrated. Granted, he’s got a ton of experience and has fought nearly all the top HW in the world. However, the fight that leads me to believe he’s overrated is the loss to “Irish” Jake O’Brien. That was one of the worst fights in MMA history. “Irish” Jake must have mounted him 19 times that fight and sat on Herring. His takedown and ground defense were downright pitiful, especially having previously fought Nogueira (Pride) and Fedor (Pride).

Again, I like Herring and wish him a speedy recovery…if he’s still alive, that is.

Gray Maynard knocked himself out, how does he deserve a title shot? Nate Diaz should face Florian for the number 1 contender spot. Winner gets Penn in March. GSP will be fighting BJ no matter what come December.

Maynard couldn’t win his division on the ultimate fighter. Nate Diaz did if you remember. Just because he trains at Coutures gym doesn’t make him championship material. Win a few fights then come talk to me, until then get off his sack and get on a real fighters, NATE DIAZ!
