UFC 87 Seek and Destroy PosterWeigh-ins for UFC 87 “Seek and Destroy” took place today at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The ten-bout pay-per-view event takes place tomorrow, August 9th, at the venue.

All twenty fighters successfully made weight with UFC 87 headliners, welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and challenger Jon Fitch, weighing in exactly at the 170 pound welterweight limit. Brock Lesnar tipped the scales at the heavyweight limit of 265 pounds while his opponent, Heath Herring, weighed in at 250 pounds. Lightweight contenders Kenny Florian and Roger Huerta both weighed in exactly at the 155 pound lightweight limit.

  7. Yeah Huerta = 155 and Evensen = 244 haha :)

  8. That’s if Evensen could even get through the cage door…

  9. The Rob says:

If Lesnar is 265, I wouldn’t ever want to see a 344 lb mma fighter. Exception to that Korean Giant.

  10. garth says:

    Zuluzhino!

  11. yzfoxracing says:

  16. The Rob says:

Dana White on the Score. Check it thescore.com

They address all the hard questions. Huerta’s contract, money in mma, Says Couture’s issue is cause Randy thought UFC would pay Fedor more money? Never heard that before.

Calls Huerta a moron! Ha! Says if he beats Florian, negotiating is a whole new ball game. Calls his fighters pussies, in theory.

    Awesome interview. Go watch it.

  17. The Rob says:

I have a brand new admiration for Dana White. Now I believe fighters do get paid enough. Compares them to the average joe. I like that. Makes fun of Tito. Tito made 6.5M in 2006?!!!? Holy Christ. Couture story in full. Wow.

  18. The Rob says:

    this interview is awesome.

  19. The Rob says:

Dana has given his word that affliction and elite xc will fold. said affliction lost 7-7.5M on the last show.

  20. The Rob says:

HAHA! On Ortiz’s appearance on the the apprectice:

He was a wallflower. He didn’t wanna talk cause he didn’t want to be exposed for being completely ****ing retarded.

  21. nev-o says:

HELL YEAH ILL BE WATCHING LIVE IN JUST A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME O YA TARGET CENTER THE WEIGH INS TODAY WERE SWEET

  22. mdhuntz says:

The Rob- thanks for the heads up on the interview. It was good. I liked Dana’s candidness.

  23. The Rob says:

someone tell me how Brock Lesnar is considered the favourite? 1-1 Brock Lesnar. Sure I can see him winning (although I’m betting against it), but a favourite against Herring? Really?

  24. Fr702 says:

GSP v Fitch~~~~ GSP round 4 kimura, i think it will be a close fight though

Herring v Lesnar~~~ Herring by UD Lesnar drops to 1-2 gets fed Justin McCully on the undercard of the Dec show

Florian v Huerta~~~ Huerta by head kick ko 3rd round, Kenny can win just as well i like them both, and if Kenny wins i will say i was wrong

Macdonald v Maia~~~ Maia by gogo 1st round ok ok im certain that Maia will win by subbmission i just dont know which one if he could pull off that reverse triangle again that would be awesome

“Karo’s cousin” Gamburyan v Emerson~~ flip a coin, its heads yay Emerson by boring UD, ofcourse after saying that it will be the fight of the night or some sh!t

  25. We don’t tolerate fighter bashing.

  26. kouch says:

Kalib Starnes is the best fighter ever. The UFC will regret the day they let him go. HIs style is superior to most. I loe Mr. Starnes. I am very tolerant of his run and gun style.

  27. Fr702 says:

    KOuch,
again i dont like Karo (not that i know him personally, i dislike what i know of him) but to say that he is a threat/danger to society im not sure… nevertheless i dont believe this a political forum or whatever and i dont want Kris to have to do more work than needed he is going to have a long day ahead of him… just jokes Kris dont ban me… haha cheers

  28. kouch says:

    FR702,

Not a threat?!? He is the one who said, “He doesn’t know what I am capable of on the streets.”

He also said, “It’s going to be disturbing what I am going to do to him.”

Those two quotes pretty much tell me all I need to know about the mind state and ideals of Karo.

  29. Fr702 says:

unless u live in West Hollywood, California where his streetz is i would say no, jk haha…. he might not be right in the head i dont know, yet this is the fight game and prefight hype is what it is… the guy is talented but he let his early succes (even his teenage years) get to his head. imo but anyways back to the fact that we have great fights that are coming up tonight…

  30. johnboy says:

f*cking hell zulu is a monster haha, kris takeing no prisoners didn’t think FR702 coments was that bad,
