Davi-vs-Swick will more than likely be the fight of the night. Both guys have very good hands. It will be the power of Davis against the speed of Swick.
Looking forward to Kampmann’s comeback fight. He was really on a role prior to getting injured and hasn’t fought in like almost 2 years or something like that. I expect him him to be explosive in his return. This will probably in a spectacular KO with Kampmann the victor.
Hughes-Alves is a very intriging match up. This should be an awesome fight. Alves is dangerous on the feet, but Hughes has the advantage on the ground. Im hoping Hughes comes out on top in this one.
Hughes
Swick
Bisbing
Werdum
Marquardt
Kapmann
Tavares
Carneiro
Hardonk
Taylor
Cane (I guess this is my upset lol)
I agree with just joe except for vera beating wedrum
It’s too bad Marquardt lost those points. But that knee was brutal! And either Hughes has lost a few steps or 4 pounds was just too much because Alves was dominating, and looked so much stronger than Hughes. And I can’t believe Wiman won, but congrads to him.
from a sherdog post
group of investors led by Dana White have agreed in principle to purchase the UFC from Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta for an undisclosed amount. Included in this investment group is WWE’s Vince McMahon who will now own a minority stake in the company. They also have plans on taking the company public by years end.
At the press conference also expect Dana to announce that with the help of McMahon, who has extensive connections in the New York State Athletic Commission, they were able to get the UFC sanctioned in New York, and plan on having a show sometime in the winter at Madison Square Garden. That is all I have right now.
