I am not a Bisping super fan, but I don’t think the UFC has been trying to give him easy opponents either. They gave him a few to start off with but Forrest and others have both fought Elvis Sinosec, And the Matt Hammill fight had to happen because of their history on the show. Rashad isn’t exactly a nobody in the 205lb division so he hasn’t been fighting complete bums. Charlse Mcarthy was a logical choice for his first fight at 185 and for just coming off of a loss.

I agree sherk should have tried to take hime down more thats his game and he didnt go with it. try to take him down once then give up on it?…dumb his boxing wasnt working

BJ fought heavyweight in pride against Machida. Anyhows I think BJ gets destroyed by GSP. In their first fight Penn accidently gave a thumb to the eye of GSP and for the rest of the round he had blurry vision. Couple that with getting your nose broke and your face pummled because of blurring vision and anyone can lose that round to a game BJ Penn bad. Then he came out and did the only thing he could, take BJ down. Now that also gives HUGE credit to GSP’s takedowns that he was able to take BJ to the ground almost at will in that fight. But without an eye poke and now that GSP has an even better training camp and is a better fighter than he was GSP will pick apart Penn. It’ll end in 3

I see it as this. Penn was a phenom 5 years ago, and he still is. At 155 he is king (although I do think if Sherk too kthis fight to the ground he could have done much better, or at least kept trying to take the fight to the ground)at 170 Penn is really good. But I think guys like Fitch, GSP and maybe even Koscheck would be tough for him. Those guys are big and fast, the two things that Penn wont be at 170.

I think bj should have at least one more title defence in 155, then move to 170, but not right to gsp maybe one warm up fight before against another top 170. How the hell do these guys fluctuate there weight so much, I heard that bj has fought 205 before in pride, is this right?

Penn vs St-Pierre = obviously a dream re-match right now, there both on top and in great shape but its gonna have to be an end of 2008 fight.

Whats BJ gonna do until December ??? I’ve heard of him wanting only 2 fights per year so he can extend his career for another 10 years.
