Griffin totally kicks some serious ass in the cage in this episode or it seems that way in the commercial for the episode. Should be a fun episode to watch.

Why is it that any time they bring MMA into a show they have to make it out to be a dirty, underworld thing. MMA has shown up on the show Numbers (Tito Ortiz guest starred) and the show Shark. I just hate that they always seem to give it a negative light.

I have always enjoyed SVU, dig Fo, and love MMA. I have never mixed them before, so we will see.

  4. Vampslayr says:

I guess Forrest is looking to recoup some “Xyience” money by doing a little network tv work. Good for him.

  5. Eric says:

I watched the episode. I didn’t know the New York sanctioned fights yet!

  6. Vampslayr says:

Eric - to the best of my knowledge the state of New York does not sanction MMA matches. Dana has mentioned in the past 6 months or so that it’s one of the states they’re focused on getting it sanctioned (UFC @ MSG would be huge). Correct me if I’m wrong.

This seems as good of place as any to put this comment (seeing as how it’s fighters acting) I just read that former UFC Champ Oleg “the Russian Bear” Taktarov is returning to fighting. Apperently he will be fighting in Bodog, but still I thought he was great. He hasn’t fought in 9 years, but he was in a Russian celebrity boxing type event and won. He fought Dolph Lundgrin(sp) and I guess it was a pretty good fight. It went 5 rounds and Oleg won the unanimous decision which sparked his taste for fighting again I guess. I loved it when he fought “Tank” Abbot for about 1/2 an hour and then choked the life out of him for the title. Oleg’s face was crushed in after that fight, but he still won. That’s all, just thought that it was an interesting tid-bit of info-

    Oleg vs Dolph (4 parts)
    Part 1
    Part 2
    Part 3
    Part 4

Hope those work and don’t break mmafrenzy.com “rules”.

  9. Nope, they don’t break our very limited rules but I did need to modify them as they were a bit long but it’s all good for those who want to check em out.

Vamp- You rock! Thank you very much, and thank you Kris for letting it through.
