Red - My impression is it will be similar to that. I think the UFC needs some regularly scheduled fights to keep fans on track. I think over time it will increase viewers once people know when to tune in to see live MMA.

The weekly live series sounds very interesting. I wonder if it will be similar to ESPN’s weekly boxing program like Friday Night Fights?

I hope they have a format change in mind for TUF. It seems to be loosing some steam. I will always be a fan, but I watch any fighting I can get my grubby mits on.

Awesome, and yeah good point, they (the UFC) just kinda handed the free PPV quality cards over. It wasn’t promoted very much. I guess with the way they are trying to expand overseas and all, it could mean more free cards for us (USA peeps). That’s cool by me.

The live PPV cards tned to happen on the fly and likely are on a case-by-case basis but I think we can expect two or so free “PPV Quality” events to air on Spike on tape delay each year. The new series will be weekly fights which will be very interesting once it’s developed.

I’m excited to see what this new show is all about in 2010. Also, 12 fight nights, but no mention of any other free cards. Oh well, I’ll take it.
