***SPOILERS***

Continue reading this entry only if you want to know what happened on last night’s episode. If you are planning on watching the episode this post includes details on the episode including the results from the fight.

Whatever drama I thought episode 1 lacked this episode made up for. Gabe Ruediger and Matt Wiman, both partners on B.J. Penn’s team, got into a real heated exchange but things got calmed down before a fight broke out.

More tension broke out after Penn’s team wrote a positive message to the troops on one wall and another message-albeit much different- to Jens Pulver on another wall. Nate Diaz took especial exception to the message about his leader looking to fight the other team over the comments.

In the fight of the night we saw Team Pulver’s Manny Gamburyan face Team Penn’s Noah Thomas. Gamburyan had been out of commision for 2 years due to an injury but looked inpressive making Thomas tap in the first round of the bout.

Here are update rosters for both teams with eliminated fighters crossed out:

Team Penn

  • Gray Maynard
  • Matt Wiman
  • Gabe Ruediger
  • Joe Lauzon
  • Rob Emerson
  • Andy Wang
  • Noah Thomas
  • Allen Berube

Team Pulver

  • Corey Hill
  • Nate Diaz
  • Brandon Melendez
  • Marlon Sims
  • Manny Gamburyan (1-0)
  • Cole Miller (1-0)
  • Brian Geraghty
  • Wayne Weems
