I watched and the KOs were great. Especially Yves Edwards thug jitsu jummping knee. Tank and Kimbo ended in the way I think most people predicted and I am not impressed with either one of them.
I thought Kimbo did really good. I think as soon as he faces an oppenent with good ground skill he’d be worse off than even Alexander Houston was. The Yves Edwards jumping knee knock out was spectacular. So was the Scott Smith knock out. Overall it was a very exciting fight card.
That was an amazing fight card for it not being ufc and all that jumping knee was amazing while the other guy was tying to shoot
I haven’t commented in a while, but I watched that Elite Card last night. Tank and Kimbo were both described as “brawlers” and that’s all that happened, brawling. Until Kimbo gets someone who knows what they are doing, it’s hard to tell how good he is. The other fights on the card were more impressive. No one finshed on the ground, all KOs or decisions. Silva looks tough. Overall good to watch, minus the freak show at the end.
i dont no how u cant be impressed with kimbo the guy is a beast an would make an impact in the ufc no question, if we can let an wwe superstar in the cage sure we can put an hard as nails street fighter in

I think Kimbo might help “draw” fans in any promotion based on his fame but like someone stated before you, Kimbo needs to fight someone other than the jokes he’s been fighting. He really is not proven. Personally, I think he would get destroyed in the UFC. He has great stand up punching strength and that’s all he has shown. Against a good jui jitsu fighter I think he is f’d.

One more thing, Brock Lesnar was not just a WWE wrestler. Everyone seems to forget the guy was a college wrestling champ. Lesnar did not get to the UFC solely based on the WWE. He has more to his backround in the world of fighting than the WWE. I wish people would get off that wagon. I am not impressed with Kimbo because all he has is a brawling stand up game. NOT IMPRESSIVE.
Kimbo would only become the laughing stock of the UFC…He lacks credibility and would basically become the modern day Tank Abbott. To determine how tough Kimbo really is you have to look at the most difficult person he’s defeated. That said…there’s not really much to talk about…unless you wanted to talk about sloppy fights/fighters.
i heard UFC and EliteXC are in talks to put up a show with their fighters.If by any chance UFC vs. EliteXC dose take place. Kimbo should fight Brock Lesner. Now that’s a show for the ages. People will be pay BIG BUCKS to see that fight. Both have that street fight style. Plus Kimbo hasn’t been really challenged he’s been fighting NO NAMES and WASH UPS. Give the man a real test. I bet any money KIMBO will lose.
Come on guys, you can say what you want about KIMBO. Know one has not really seen him on the ground. His first mma fight it went to the ground, and he choked the guy out. I’m sorry but if he puts you in a arm lock, he is problemly takeing your arm home as a gift. “You can train a striker BJJ easier, than a BJJ to strike.”

Brock Lesner sucks ass “WWE Fanboy”
Vk, that might be the dumbest comment I’ve ever seen on this site. You really think there would ever be a chance of a credible wrestler such as Brock fighting a no-name self proclaimed street-fighter. Now, I’m not sure but Brock’s next fight will probably be in England or elsewhere, so the UFC doesn’t have to deal with explaining the fact that they paid a mediocre MMA fighter with a 1-1 record over $200,000 Kimbo can’t leave the country based on him being on probation (most likely). Also, while Brock is fighting for 6 digits, Kimbo would fight for 3 just to support his 8 illegitimate kids. He’s a freakshow with a bult following on his best day. best thing for him to is to keep fighting has-beens and never-were’s, so he doesn’t get exposed for the fact that he sucks. Yeah, I said it.
I think Kimbo should fight Roger Gracie next. It would be really coll, because both of them are mma newcomers, and styles would collide. Roger can easily submit Kimbo, IF he can take him down. On the other hand Kimbo can knock him out if he connects and avoids the takedown. (Training takedown defence with Bas Rutten must be effective.)
I think that a Frank Mir vs Kimbo Slice match would end the same as Mir/Lesnar. To stop all of these anti Slice comments, he truly must be tested. Slice vs Rodiguez would be a similar fight as Mir vs Lesnar (though Mir is in better shape than Ricco, but Ricco is looking better)

I agree people need to stop thinking Lesnar is an MMA threat…..yet. With a better fight camp, say Xtreme Couture or Team Quest (both whom love wrestling based fighters) and some experience could become a serious threat.
A UFC vs Elite show would be spectacular and would end with the UFC reigning supreme (though the UFC needs to add some female fighters to their roster)

If Ricco shaped up and quit screwing around he could be great again. One of the problems is he still with team Punishment (Best friend with Tito). He needs to go to a camp that does not treat him like a superstar and work his ass off.
Royal, I totally agree. I think he may have his head back on his shoulders now, and may be a champ again someday.
hey KOuch im not on the wagon about lesnar just being a wwe star i no the guy has a good wrestling back ground but put ur self in this position would u rather fight in a proper wresting match or a no rules backyard street fight i no what situation ide rather be in, i do agree that kimbo hasn’t rly fought ant1 up to scratch but that is not his fault plus are people forgetting bas is traning him now this guy will be a forse one day lke it or not me for one is excited and welcomes any1 who has the balls to step inside the cage.
Lesner Lesner Lesner… From the day I heard he was going to fight Mir, I knew he was going to lose. In an interveiw with Lesner he said, ” I have been learning BJJ, Striking, Ect. for one and half years. Damn hasn’t he turn on a tv and even watched a mma match. It just seem like he is not even a mma fan. Tank looked like a better mma fighter than Lesner.
If a 43 second ko is not imperesive then you guys need to watch something else.this is just the beginning for kimbo we will see his true colors when he fights bigger names. But if people keep under estmating him he will run all over people.
Wellll, Kimbo would get owned by most in the UFC. Kimbo has not fought anyone to gain any credibility in my opinion. The first guy he fights taps out from getting punched and then the 9-13 Tank Abbott. Abbott was never really a good fighter he just brawled so he was a favorite. I dont think there is anyone else in MMA that I would like to see get knocked the f*** out then Kimbo. Bas Rutten is the only thing he has going for him. Antonio Silva will give him a decnt fight but is not a real good fighter either…..I guess we will see though. I hope Tim Sylvia makes his way over there and he would definently dominate.

Tim sylvia would NOT dominate EXC the only reason he gets title shots is because there are no real contenders in the HW. Everyone knows the real fighters are in the LW LHW and MW WW classes. the UFC needs to get FW and BW classes. Its losing a lot of money because thay don’t.

Faber is the ****. If he went to the UFC that would be the best thing dana white ever did.
Jon fitch is also the ****! This guy has won like 14 straight fights. Everyone that he fought was really good fighters. This guy has been put in submission time and time again, and has gotten out them. If you don’t know alot about Fitch, try to find his fights on youtube. “Two Thumbs UP” Jon Fitch will be the next title holder.
Johnboy college wrestling is not fighting, it’s about pins, leverage, holds. Fighting, is when you have the chance of getting your butt kicked or kicking somebody’s. Royal, the only thing I disagree with you on is Tito’s camp the guy has a good camp and pushes hard. Every fighter goes through rough times, it doesn’t mean the camp is bad. That is just my opinion. Would like to see Kimbo face some better comp. the guy is a bull, and has a chin like a brick wall. He gets his bjj up there, the could dominate.

I’m saying big bear “Tito Camp” is kick ass. Dude, training at 8′000 feet is tiptop train. Your trainer has to put you threw some hard ass ****. When I saw Ricco’s come back fight, to me he was not ready. What he really needs to do is get his life straighten out, train his ass off then come.( Big fan of Ricco no disrespect)
they gave lessnar a shot at frank mir, give kimbo a match with andrei arlovski, maybe even tim sylvia or any other well rounded heavyweight and lets see how he does, I like to watch his fights, street or in the ring, but he has to fight someone who is tough by todays mma standards, not some has been like tank abott

The only problem with Kimbo vs Arlovski, is that it would be a stand up fight. And suck ass Tim would not even have a chance, the only thing he has is long jab. What we want to see is his BJJ.
I feel that the heavy weight is going to change. That a lot more heavy weight no name BJJ guys are going to be coming out.

DONT LISTEN TO THE HYPE! Kimbo is hyped up, everyone hates Tim….but the bottom line is Sylvia would beat Kimbo. Jeez……I really cannot believe how anyone can think anything different. Who ever thinks Kimbo vs. Brock Lesnar would be a good fight is really dumb. Watch Kimbo on U-tube get gassed in about 4 minutes in some underground fight and got beat on. Brock Lesnar goes through the same training regimin as Sean Sherk, he could probably fight for an hour. Oh, ever seen a national champion wrestler take down someone who has never wrestled, or is a ’street wrestler’, it’s funny, Kimbo might get dropped right on his head.
Brock Lesnar vs Kimbo Sclice would probally be a good stand up Fight but thats why it is the glory of MMA and brock would take him down and if they kept it standing he would still drop kimbo!!!!!
anyone who says kimbo will own sylvia doesnt know much about mma. the fact that kimbo kod tank means very little.tank has won 1 fight in ten years. hes finished and just getting paydays.kimbo is definatly a strong guy with a punch but we have to find out if hes got anything else before people go overbored.this isnt street fighting its mma so u need more than a punch.

LOL the same people that say Sylvia would lose to Slice are the ones who thought Vera stood a chance. I made $1000 on that fight as I was in vegas at the time and put a big bet down. I was excited to see Tim Sylvia was the UNDERDOG in that fight. Great payday for me. HOWEVER, Kimbo Slice does have a chance to be great. And his name is Bas Rutten. Despite everything else Kimbo Slice DID show great take down defense and has cut ALL the fat. Kudos for him, but he needs more experience so I hope they only slowly up the talent he’s facing so he can be a big name someday. The guy looks 100 but he’s young!
kimbo is 34 so to make an impact hes guna have to fight untill hes at least 40 unless someone like dana takes a chance so i hope he does kimbo will sell ppv so its a no loss for dana so he should get in there asap

If anyone remembers Sean Gannon being brought into UFC 55 with the hype of him being this street brawler with videos on the internet of him smashing guys and was going to be a force to be rekond with. He lost within the first round by TKO to a punk like Brandon Lee Hinkle. Kimbo has lost to Gannon before in an underground fight and was gassing like a b****. Yes, kimbo may have potential but the TRUTH of the matter is he needs to be tested with a real opponent.
