Surprise!: Diego Sanchez won at UFC 69

Not really, but apparently he or whoever writes on his MySpace page thinks so. Here’s Diego’s “About Me” section displaying an unblemished record despite taking a unanimous decision loss to Josh Koscheck this past weekend at UFC 69 in Houston:

About me:
I AM A FIGHTER FOR UFC WITH A RECORD OF 20-0, I LOVE KIDS AND HAVE A GREAT FAMILY THAT COULD NOT BE MORE PROUD OF ME. I SET MY GOALS HIGH AND DONT BELIVE IN DOUBT OR LIMITS.

We all knew he was sleeping during the fight but he must have been in a coma to not realize he lost.

I think JOE ROGAN stated it best when he said durnig the broadcast that some fighters are just to afraid to lose. I hope Dana White tells those two fighters that if a rematch is granted that they better let the fist fly………….

This fight was the worst of the night by far and I think if the feud continues we will get a rematch after Koscheck gets a shot at the title. Luckily for us that means they won’t fight until late this year and best but most likely next year if it does happen. I love the hype and drama of the whole thing but when it doesn’t live up then we’re all let down.

**** for 19-0 diego looked like he jus started fighting…likewise kos looked like a f***ed up **** in that fight too….i dont agree with them fighting again unless the ufc did it like ortiz vs shamrock 3 and put it live on spike t.v…..i will not pay for a ppv that shows them headlining again..however congrats to matt serra he dominated GSP like no one b4 him could..how bout the kendall grove fight no one talks about that and he did an amazing job…lol i’ll leave it at that

  • Kris says:

I know I don’t care to see them fight again for a long time and I don’t think the UFC will match them up unless Kos wins the title and Diego wins a couple fights then puts them in a main event for the title.

Grove surprised a lot of people and really showed up for that fight when a lot of people I think were unsure of how he’d do but I think he will get a lot of respect for the win over Belcher.

  • Jeffrey says:

I think its time to see Grove step it up with his competition. I am thinking, Grove vs Macdonald…if he wins,,,,,Grove vs Franklin,,,,if he wins Grove vs Silva for title

I also cant wait for Leben to get beat one more time so he can fall of the radar soon…..

my sleeper fighters of the summer……John Fitch and TERRY MARTIN…THATS RIGHT TERRY MARTIN…..take note, i said it here,,,

one last comment,,,,life time ban for any subtance found in the body thats a street drug,,,please dont risk the integrety if this wonderful and awesome sport…..

  • Kris says:

Jeffrey, I don’t know what the UFC plans on doing with this but I think the Grove/McDonald match could be good to judge his skills. As far as the other matched Nate Marquardt is going against Silva for the title and IF he wins that would change it all. If Silva defends and Franklin wins his bout against Kampmann at 72 then we will see Silva defend at UFC 76(?) in October in Cincinnati.
