The UFC 138 fight card continues to fill up as England’s John Hathaway, Terry Etim, and Mark Scanlon have joined the November 5 event in Birmingham, with Hathaway facing Pascall Krauss, Etim returning to take on fellow lightweight Edward Faaloloto and Scanlon welcoming James Head to the welterweight division.
The matchups were first reported by Hathaway, Fighters Only and YourMMA.
Hathaway (15-1) emerged as a welterweight contender with four-straight UFC wins over the likes of Rick Story, Paul Taylor, and Diego Sanchez. “The Hitman” suffered the first setback of his career to Mike Pyle in October, but bounced back over Kris McCray in March. Germany’s Krauss remained unbeaten with a decision over Scanlon in his UFC debut in November.
Etim (14-3) has been sidelined by various injuries since an April 2010 loss to Rafael dos Anjos snapped a four-fight win streak, while Faaloloto (2-2) looks to avoid a likely release after dropping his UFC debut to Michael Johnson last month.
Both Scanlon (7-1) and Head (7-2) dropped their Octagon debuts, with Scanlon falling to Krauss in the “Fight of the Night” at UFC 122 and Head losing to Nick Ring at UFC 131 in June, prompting his drop to 170-pounds.
UFC 138 is headlined by the UFC’s first five-round non-title fight between middleweights Chris Leben and Mark Munoz.

Michael Bisping gets most of the mentions and notice, but IMO John Hathaway is the fighter with the best potential to score UFC gold down the road and bring championship fights to the UK…
I agree jcohl, and Hathaway is a fun fighter to watch. Hearing more rumors about this card too, perhaps Dominick Cruz v Brian Bowles, adding a championship bout to the card, which would headline over Leben v Munoz, which is cool by me. UFC, make it happen!
Damn it … oh well.
Where have you heard rumors of Dominick Cruz vs. Brian Bowles on UFC 138? I’ve been hearing that Cruz vs. Johnson is set for Versus 6.
Did you just pull a Julio? ;-)
Tough fight for JH but one that he should come through ok. Hathaway and Pickett are our best shots at a British UFC champion. Not for another 2 years or so but both guys are going in the right direction. Barao looks very good and a win should see Brad one fight away from a title shot hopefully.
In a few years, I will not be suprised to see Hathaway and MacDonald at the top of the WW division myself. I’m glad to see Etim back in action. He’s one of my favorite lightweights to watch.
