Another addition has been made to the UFC 137 fight card, as middleweights Tim Credeur (12-4) and Brad Tavares (7-1) have verbally agreed to meet at the October 29 event in Las Vegas, the UFC announced Wednesday.
Credeur, a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter 7, is looking to get back on the winning track following a pair of losses to Ed Herman and Nate Quarry. Prior to the losses, Credeur successfully opened his UFC career with finishes of Cale Yarbrough, Nate Loughran, and Nick Catone.
Tavares got his UFC start on TUF 11 and opened his Octagon career with wins over Seth Baczynski and Phil Baroni. He will be looking to rebound form the first loss his career, suffered against Aaron Simpson at UFC 132.
UFC 137 is headlined by welterweight title bout between champion Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz and also features welterweight contenders BJ Penn vs. Carlos Condit.
