A matchup between exciting lightweights Donald Cerrone and Charles Oliveira has been promoted to the UFC on Versus 5 main card, while a middleweight fight between CB Dollaway and Jared Hamman has been dropped to the preliminary card of the August 14 event in Milwaukee, the UFC announced today.
Cerrone-Oliveira was added to the card just last week, as Cerrone (15-3) replaced an injured John Makdessi following his June win over Vagner Rocha, and Oliveira (14-1) stepped in for Paul Taylor fresh off his controversial no contest to Nik Lentz late last month.
UFC on Versus 5 is headlined by welterweights Dan Hardy vs. Chris Lytle and also features Jim Miller vs. Ben Henderson and Amir Sadollah vs. Duane “Bang” Ludwig on its Versus card.

Sweet, I don’t know what anyone else thinks, but I think this is an awesome card, especially being a free-per-view. Cerrone-Oliveira, Hardy-Lytle, Miller-Henderson (could easily IMO be the headliner), and Sadollah-Ludwig. All of these have the potential to eb fotn, I am really looking forward to this card.
Agreed.
Quality of recent free-per-views is on the rise, and not too many PPVs have as many FoTN candidates as this card does.
Good stuff…
Agreed as well…Also Cerrone will face a very tough test in Oliveira
I know we all don’t agree on much here at the frenZy, especially on the main page, but I’m guessing if a poll was posted asking which fight you’d rather see on the main card, Cerrone-Oliveira or Hamman-Dolloway, Cowboy wins [the poll not necessarily the fight] by 10 points IMO…
Unless gunslinger votes 11 times, then Dolloway wins by 1 vote.
Solid card, it will also bring us one step closer to the lightweight championship ,which seems like a turney since there is so much talent there. And its free . Yeahhhh!
