UFC 82: Chris Leben vs. Alessio Sakara
Alessio Sakara will make his UFC middleweight debut at UFC 82 in Columbus, Ohio on March 1st against “The Ultimate Fighter” castmember Chris Leben.

Sakara (16-6 MMA, 3-3 UFC) competed earlier this month at UFC 80 dispatching James Lee via TKO less than two-minutes into the fight. After a debut win against Elvis Sinosic, Sakara was handed back-to-back losses by Dean Lister and Drew McFedries. Following the pair of losses Sakara has won 2-of-3 defeating Lee and Victor Valimaki while suffering a TKO loss to Houston Alexander.
Leben (17-4 MMA, 7-3 MMA) translated his appearance on the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter” into early UFC success winning his first five fights with the promotion against Jason Thacker, Patrick Cote, Edwin Dewees, Jorge Rivera and Luigi Fioravanti. The streak was quickly halted at UFC Fight Night 5 when Leben was knocked out in just 49-seconds by Anderson Silva. After a KO win of Jorge Santiago Leben dropped back-to-back fights to Jason MacDonald and Kalib Starnes putting his UFC future in jeopardy. Leben looked rejuvenated in his last fight, knocking out Terry Martin in September at UFC Fight Night 11.

Ahhh… Chris Leben – the human punching bag. It will certainly be entertaining, if nothing else.
I know there are a bunch of Leben fans out there, but I think this is one he will loose. I was more impressed with him in his last outing, but Sakaura is a monster. I know Martin was a monster too, but Saka. is in much better shape. We will see.
i think this could be a good one. neither fighter is even near the top of the division but it could be a stand up war.
Sakara is a much better striker than Terry Martin who is more of a brawler like Leben. I will agree with scotchydow and pick Salara in this fihgt. Leben is always entertaining if nothing else.
If Leben wins a stand up war i will give him a ton of credit. Sakara took a beating and gave out a beating to Mcfedries @ 205 lbs.Anyone remember that fight? Check it out on You Tube.
Sakara now with ATT i am real curious to see what he offers @ 185, and he is still pretty young. Great fight added to the card for sure
leben is a weirdo. Sakara will knock him out quickly.
big news for the MW divison hopefully this guy can string a few wins together an challange the top 5 if their is a top 5 but never count leben out, haveing said that i think sakara will win haha
