Hatsu Hioki Officially Signs with the UFC

As expected, Japanese featherweight standout Hatsu Hioki has officially signed with the UFC to join the promotion’s 145-pound division that’s currently topped by champion Jose Aldo, the UFC announced Saturday.

Hioki (24-4-2) rebounded from a split decision loss to Michihiro Omigawa in 2009 with four-straight wins to claim titles in Shooto and Sengoku, but has vacated them to join the UFC.

Details on Hioki’s UFC debut have yet to be finalized.
