Swick and Burkman sucked as a main event, but the other fights were good. Nate Diaz’s Jitz is the ****. Loved Peliegino’s monster come back.
Kinda upset about the McFedries fight….he didnt look like he wanted it. He went down and just covered up….he didnt really look hurt. Easy for me to say though….I woulda been down after the first punch.
At least Corey Hill won! What u think of that Johnboy??

kurt angle is a half a fag too. he talks smack and appears on pros vs. joes but no way in the ufc, he can suck my bung hole too
Cote’ should be coming close to his title shot soon. He is a very good fighter, and his losses were all close fought battles. Give him a #1 contenders shot. I think he could hold his own vs. Rich Franklin, but what do I know. I would have liked to see the Cory Hill fight, but am glad they showed the Pellegrino/Crane fight (maybe fight of the night????) And to bad for Cole Miller. I like the kid. His brother is a tough cat too over in the WEC.

Swick Burkman could have went either way. They both sucked in that fight. Burkman needed to give up on the takedowns….seriously after a round of attempting, he should have given up. Attempts dont score points. I dont know if defending them does, but if so…thats why Swick won.
All I can say is – I wasn’t impressed with this card…I found myself turning to watch college basketball on commercial breaks and not turning back right away! There was a couple decent fights, that it…I stopped watching the MAIN EVENT about 2nd round…which is sad!
I’m looking fwd to the next Fight Night! I hope Joe beat Florian…Kenny is too cocky for his own good! Also, I heard last night they were naming fighters for that next card, and I heard Clay Guida is fighting – does anyone know who?
clay guida will be fighting samy schiavo at the next fight night ive seen this guy fight a couple of times he hasn’t lost a fight since 2005 hes got some knock out power to will be a good match cant wait.
I hope its on tv…hope its not an undercard! Can I make a suggestion?! Can we please start showing ALL the fights??! As proof of last night, possibly the best fight was an undercard – in pelligrino…Seriously, why not add 1 more hour to the show and show those fights?! Because really.. I dont think people will be mad if we miss an episode of pro’s vs joe’s, TNA fake wrestling, or some other show on spike.
Hell, they have an NFL Network..why not a UFC network?! I would say its just as, or close to, as popular as football!!
i agree with jason N. why not show all the fights for example cory hill everyone tells us how good he is yet when the guy comes to fight its not shown, weres the sence in that come on ufc sort it out plus GET FIGHT NIGHTS SHOWN IN ENGLAND/UK how are u going to make this sport into the worlds best when ur not showing all the events,
dana get in touch with sky sports an sort it out then it will become even bigger over night, just look what it has done to NFL over here, people talk about that all the time even tho me personally doesn’t no whats going on half the time i still find myself watching it! cage rage get shown on sky sports so i dont see why the ufc can’t

also, back to my point….i want to say, seriously..I think Dana should scrap this whole going to a certain Network soon…(like cbs, or nbc or some other popular one.) I really think they should go in with WEC, M1, IFL, etc… and just make a MMA Network…I don’t care if I have to pay my cable company an extra $3 a month for a new channel, I’d pay for it and I’d watch it all the time! They can have their own news show, kind of like the inside MMA on HDNet..but better.. the hosts suck on their….give Rogan his own show.. so he can bash Carlos Mencia more…
and then they can show ALL fights…then when they are done with material, the the next show can be the WEC fights, and news..etc…then move on…so on and so forth…they would have so much material, it wouldnt be funny…and they would be making more money, in my opinion than a network deal (i know, I may be alone in that though bc of commercials…but still…a guy can dream.. cant he?)
I will also agree that all the undercards would have been great as the Cole Miller and Corey Hill fights were ones I was really looking forward to. It’s not like Spike has that much original programming that they couldn’t have a 3 hour show. The reason that the fight nights aren’t shown overseas is because the American market is where the money is, it’s that simple. Oh yeah, let me just humbly say 8-1 in my picks last night, 6-3 at UFC 80; not to shabby.
not bad…i was terrible…i guess…i missed 3 last night…I picked Joe V to win over Hill just bc I wasn’t impressed by him – he is just this big tall skinny guy who didn’t look like he could handle a tough fighter, but I was wrong! The other 2 I missed were the Cole Miller and Nate Diaz fight. For the Cole one, that was just a guess – I hadn’t heard of his opponent, so I went with who I knew. As for Diaz, I should know better, but I wasn’t sold on him yet – still not, not saying he didnt impress me last night, bc he did, but he hasnt fought anyone good yet. I still think Manny wouldve beat him!
Swick Looked awfull out there. Maybe one great head kick. Burkman was more active on his feet but should have quite trying to take swick down to the mat. I feel Burkman got robbed of the fight but I guess I was such a boreing fight that It could of gone either way. Burkman looked better than Swick though. I wanted to see Cory Hill fight but maybe on On Demand they will have the fight. Alberto crane is from my home town of Albuquerque and I was upset to see him loose with the exciting first round but gassed in the second. He needs to be more well rounded and work on his cardio. The rest of the fights were OK, Cote Finished Drew on his feet because Drew said that he could not. That should of shut him up. And my favorite fight was the Diaz fight with that beautiful Triangle Choke. WOW!!! Diaz is on a roll much like his brother used to be. He needs to keep up the great submissions.
swick is a boring fighter yeah he wins but i just dont like the guy i went 7-9 on my picks last night losing the main event and the diaz robinson fight i was mad lastnight because of that but i did well for my ufc fantasy
Jason N. – I like a lot of what you’re saying, but Inside MMA is a great show, and is doing a lot for the sport. Until there is ANY OTHER SHOW like it, you’ve got to appreciate what they are trying to do.
I mean, come on – highlights from all over the world (literally!) and no commercials!
oh yea, dont get me wrong…i watch the show.. and yes, it is a great show…i just said the hosts suck….im not a name guy, but the bald guy.. holy crap is he annoying…i find myself turning the channel when he talks…i get that annoyed..they other guy is decent…i think if they replace them with rogan and someone..it would do it a world of difference!
just heared that tito is leaveing the ufc after his next fight well gutted about that any1 no what the story is behind it or if indeed it is true?
Haven’t heard – but its ok, it prob just a ploy to get more money. I like Tito, but he needs to realize…he needs the UFC ..WAY more thant the UFC needs him…that class is unreal now and Tito is not as good as he once was… I dont even think Tito is top 10 to be honest. I might be leaving some out, but i rank these guys higher (in no order) chuck, rampage, rashad, Thiago Silva, Lyoto Machida, Forrest, Sho Gun, Dan Henderson (assuming he doesnt stay at middleweight), Wanderlei, and possibly even Sokoudjou .. but that could be a stretch… not trying to diss tito…just think he has lost a step
I went 8-1 on my picks last night. Lost the Miller vs Stephens fight but it was a toss up. Stephens is a tough kid. Also been ranked in the top 100 overall on all the cards in Fantasy so far. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing! haha
Would love an MMA network but it is still years away i am sure. Swick hasn’t fought in awhile and Burkman is no slouch at 170. I think he can make some noise, I would love to see if the AKA boys have to match up with each other at some point. Fitch, Koscheck, Swick.. you would think it’s gotta happen sooner or later..
I would LOVE to see a fight night or even a Pay Per View with Camp vs Camp….Top Team vs MFS, etc… that would be crazy!
I also only missed the Cole Miller pick. Oh well, 81 will be much harder to pick IMO.
I also heard about Tito’s departure. I don’t think that it is a ploy. He said that L. Fratetta told him that he wasn’t worth anything to the company anymore. I think that it would be hilarious if he destroys Machida. He had the same thing going on last time his contract came up (he sent Vitor Belfort to the hospital) I think that the UFC is getting a little out off control with Dana’s “I am driving this ship!” attitude. Will he go down with the ship as well????
