UFC 130’s Brian Stann, Jorge Santiago, Travis Browne, and Gleison Tibau each earned $70,000 fight night bonuses for their performances at the Saturday event, which was headlined by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s unanimous decision over Matt Hamill.
Stann and Santiago earned “Fight of the Night” honors for their two round battle, which saw Stann drop Santiago in the first only to have the former Sengoku champion rally to make it to the second round. In the second, Stann dropped Santiago again but this time he would not be able to recover as Stann ran his win streak to three with the TKO win.
Browne scored the “Knockout of the Night” for his vicious superman punch KO of fellow heavyweight Stefan Struve. Struve was caught telegraphing a knee by the Hawaiian fighter when Browne landed the superman punch that dropped the Dutchman.
Tibau picked up the final bonus for “Submission of the Night” with his rear naked choke of Raphael Oliveira. Tibau picked about Oliveira before dropping him with a wicked left and finishing him off with the choke in the opening round.
UFC 130 drew 12,816 fans to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for a live gate of $2.57 million, UFC President Dana White said at the post-fight press conference, where the bonuses were also announced.
