A welterweight matchup between rising prospect Rory MacDonald and veteran Mike Pyle has been added to the UFC 133 fight card on August 6 in Philadelphia, the UFC announced Monday.
MacDonald (11-1) rebounded from his first loss to Carlos Condit with a unanimous decision over Nate Diaz at UFC 129 in April, while Pyle (21-7-1) topped Ricardo Almeida in March for his third-straight win.
UFC 133 is headlined by light heavyweight contenders Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis and also features Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama, Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and Jorge Rivera vs. Alessio Sakara.

Got to agree.
Pyle has too much game to get repeatedly airlifted the way Nate Diaz did, but IMO Pyle is about as good as he can get, and MacDonald is still pretty far from his glass ceiling…
Awesome fight which will probably make the main card now Aldo v Mendes isnt happening. I’d put this fight on Spike purely to entice the new viewer because it’s got FOTN written all over it.
