Andrei Arlovski To Fight At UFC 82?
Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski may be making his long awaited return to the octagon on March 1 in Columbus, Ohio at UFC 82 “Pride Of A Champion” according to Roman Modrowski of the Chicago Sun-Times,
Toward the bottom of Modrowski’s article, which begins by discussing some issues Don King apparently has with the UFC, it reads:
“Arlovski’s back….
Look for Chicago’s Andrei Arlovski to return to the Octagon on March 1 in Columbus, Ohio. The intensely popular Arlovski has been in limbo because of contract negotiations since defeating Werdum on April 21, 2007. This will be the last fight of his UFC contract.“
At first this all seems like great news for fans just itching to see “The Pitbull” return to competition after working as the head of security on the Jerry Springer Show. But according to a report from MMAjunkie who spoke with Arlovski’s management team, the 28 year old Belarusian has not officially signed to fight at any event just yet. Though it is true that Arlovski has just one fight remaining on his UFC contract before it expires in April, we still cannot confirm if in fact Arlovski will be making his return at UFC 82 or another future event.

i cant get my head around why the ufc has not given arlovski another contract i mean who the f*** is guna fight tim after he wins the title theres probley only 4 good heavyweights in the ufc at the moment so come on get the pitbull back in the mix
this is great news for arlovski fans everywhere, but wit all the rumors coming on when his next fight and when it is supposed to be, i find this one really hard to beleive too…the ufc im guessin wont let him fight anyone good cuz he does only have one fight left on his contract cuz they cant promote him with the win nad i bet he will want to fight in the ufc and will accept a contract but it has to be good, the man carried the whole hw division for a year or so…he deserves his dues for doing so
THe Pit Bull needs to be fighting in the UFC and back in the title picture asap. He is one of the most exciting fighters in the division and I agree that he deserves some extra consideration from the UFC.

Arlovski’s return is a must. The only heavys out there for Sylvia are Gonzaga and Vera. I think Vera can beat Tim (with a non-broken hand)

This may sound weird but does everyone think that arlovski shouldn’t have changed his appearance, he was a f***in psycho when he looked like a caveman with the vampire teeth, ever since he got normal he’s been f***in borin his fans with 4 boring ass fights, 2 losses to sylvia and then 2 “wins” which nearly put me to sleep. Anyone else remember the good old days when he put Buentello to sleep in around 15 seconds, he did that when he looked f***ed up.
