As expected, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will rematch Yushin Okami in the main event of UFC 134 on Aug. 27 in Rio de Janeiro, the UFC’s first event in Brazil in 13 years, the UFC confirmed Tuesday.
Silva (28-4) knocked out Vitor Belfort with an opening-round front-kick in February to extend his UFC record win streak to 13-straight, while Okami (26-5) topped Nate Marquardt in November for his third-straight win and 10th in 12 UFC bouts.
Okami beat Silva in their first meeting in 2006 after “The Spider” was disqualified for an illegal upkick in the opening round.
The UFC 134 fight card also features a rematch between former light heavyweight champs Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Forrest Griffin.
