It amazes me the amount of people who think Couture is going to win this fight. As far as UFC main cards go this has to be one of the biggest mismatches I’ve ever seen.
Agree Machida is probably the favourite for this one, but Randy is the master at creating an effective gameplan – he will know how to beat Machida, just depends on whether he can get his body to obey the commands.
And if Randy gets his dirty boxing going, could be a long night for Lyoto.
Dana White and Joe Silva didn’t think Couture-Machida was a mismatch, otherwise they wouldn’t have signed the fight and then spent time and money promoting it.
I’m guessing you’re seeing or maybe knowing something they don’t?
Machida can’t handle up-close grinding. His outdated (and successful against select opponents) Karate style needs distance to be effective – Randy won’t allow that.
I predict an illustration of a big hole in Machida’s game, and a sweet 9-4 payback on my 20euros I put on Randy.
