UFC Vet Dustin Hazelett Places Fighting Career on Hold

UFC veteran Dustin Hazelett, who was released by the UFC in December after three-straight losses, is putting his fighting career on hold for the time being to focus on college.

According to MMAJunkie, Hazelett, who considered a break before his most-recent loss to Mark Bocek at UFC 124, plans to finish EMT courses in June and will still participate in grappling tournaments, but has set no definitive timetable for his return to MMA.

The popular submission artist was 5-5 in his four-year UFC run and had dropped to the 155-pound lightweight division with his loss to Bocek.
