Brian Foster has been forced out of his fight with fellow welterweight Sean Pierson scheduled for later this month at UFC 129 after a pre-fight MRI revealed a brain hemorrhage, the UFC announced Tuesday.
After a 1-2 start to his UFC career, Foster (15-5) ended 2010 with back-to-back wins over Forrest Petz and Matt Brown, but will now be sidelined indefinitely while recovering.
A replacement is nnow being sought to face Pierson (11-4), who topped Matt Riddle in his UFC debut in December for his sixth-straight win.
UFC 129 takes place on April 30 in Toronto and features welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields, featherweight champ Jose Aldo vs. Mark Hominick, and Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida.

Wow, talk about scary! It’s a good thing they did an MRI and caught it. I think alot of fans would have been scarred for life if they saw
Foster get hit in the head and suddenly collapse to his demise. Hopefully, it can get treated as quickly as Thiago Alves’s brain did a lil ways back.
They caught Alves’ issue before it popped. This might take longer and require a bit more work.

Interesting to see what they can come up with for Pearson.
I don’t have the link handy but his training partner ruptured his testicle with a kick a few weeks back. Had to have it removed. This poor guy has had to put up with a lot in these last few weeks.
