The WCO (World Cagefighting Organization) event which was supposed to be taking place earlier this evening has officially been canceled.

According to Sherdog’s Josh Gross the “Valor” backed promotion, which attempted to garner attention by slating names like Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Ricco Rodriguez, Vernon White, Joe Riggs and Mark Kerr, apparently had insufficient funds to pay their fighters and were forced to shut down by the California State Athletic Commission.

It was also reported that the San Diego Sports Arena experienced “extremely low” ticket sales for the local show.
