UFC Fight Night 13: Tommy Speer vs. Anthony Johnson
Tommy Speer, the runner-up on the recently completed sixth season of The Ultimate Fighter, will face Anthony Johnson at UFC Fight Night 13 in April according to MMA Junkie.
Speer (9-2 UFC, 0-1 UFC) is coming off a first-round submission loss to Mac Danzig on the live finale of The Ultimate Fighter 6. During the series Speer defeated Jon Koppenhaver, Ben Saunders, and George Sotiropolous in route to his finale matchup with Danzig. Prior to the finale-loss Speer had won 5 straight fights including a KO win in the WEC over Sidney Silva.
Johnson (4-1 UFC, 1-1 UFC) entered the UFC with just a 3-0 record but immediately made a splash inside the octagon. After accepting a fight on the UFC Fight Night 10 card less than a week before the event, Johnson knocked out his opponent, Chad Reiner, in just 13 seconds. His success was short-lived as he was defeated by Rich Clementi at UFC 76 in September.
UFC Fight Night 13 will be held April 2nd in Colorado. In co-main event bouts lightweights Kenny Florian and Joe Lauzon will go head-to-head and Matt Hamill and Stephan Bonnar will clash at 205 pounds. Spencer Fisher versus Marcus Aurelio will also appear on the fight card.

wow, this is going to be a better than normal TUF fight night….I mean UFC fight night card.
wow thos os gonna be a good one i hope a main card fight most likely not but
ide like to say i cant wait to watch this fight as i was a big fan of tommy (i f***ing hated the prick who won it) anyway were probley not going to get to see this fight because it wont be on the main card which is a b****, im not that much of a boxing fan but every time they do show a ppv they show all the fights even the nobodys that no one has heared of, so come on ufc show the whole show please because im sick of watching the undercard fights on a computer were it stalls an u cant see the fight as clear,

Aren’t Fight Nights ALWAYS on a Wednesday? The 19th is a Saturday.
speer is NOT a very talented fighter… he may get better, but he has showed zero fight skill on the show or in his ufc bouts! being strong is not all it takes… prove me wrong.

I can prove you wrong about Tommy he made it to the TUF finale on only being strong. He beat George S. to get to the finale. George was one of the favorites by the way. He will be a better fighter. He has only been involved in fighting for a couple of years and has been training with Matt Hughes’ squad since the show ended. He will be a better fighter and has more potential than most of the fighters on the show since he is so raw.
