Bellator 38 Results: Hale Scores Inverted Triangle, Light Heavyweights Advance

Light heavyweights Tim Carpenter, D.J. Linderman, Richard Hale, and Christian M’Pumbu advanced to the semifinals of Bellator’s season four 205-pound tournament with wins at Saturday’s Bellator 38 event in Tunica, Mississippi.

Carpenter edged Daniel Gracie by split decision in the MTV2-televised main event, while Hale submitted Nik Fekete with an inverted triangle in the opening round.

The winner of the light heavyweight tournament, which likely continues at Bellator 42 on April 23, will be crowned Bellator’s first-ever 205-pound champion.

  • D.J. Linderman def. Raphael Davis via TKO (punches) – Round 3, 3:40
  • Richard Hale def. Nik Fekete via submission (inverted triangle) – Round 1, 1:55
